Chapter 2

At that time, I was young and had no say.

But I was an adult now, and I didn't want to be exploited anymore, and I didn't want Jenny's money to be given away to others.

I protected Jenny behind me and said to Sam, "Dad, stop talking. Jenny and I will not agree.

"You've given a lot of money to Uncle's family over the years. That's saved by Mom by working day and night.

"Look at the wrinkles on Mom's face. Do you still have a conscience?

"Have you ever taken care of your family? Have you ever given money to us? If you like Uncle's family so much, then move to their house."

I wanted to vent out all the anger of all the years.

When Sam saw that I dared to resist him, he became furious and raised his hand to hit me, but was stopped by Jenny.

The slap landed on Jenny's face, and she grimaced in pain.

Sam was stunned for a moment, then yelled at me. "You dare to go against your father!"

Then he pointed at Jenny and said, "I'm making this clear today. If you don't give Luis the house, we're getting divorced!"

With red eyes, Jenny looked at Sam in disbelief.

After a long while, she replied, "Okay, let's divorce. You can live with Bruce's family. I've had enough."

Jenny couldn't stop crying, but her tone was firm.

Jenny's answer stunned Sam and me.

Jenny always contributed to the family and only hoped that she would stay with Sam together.

She was kind to Sam, and she always tolerated him no matter what he did.

I guessed Jenny's patience had reached its limit.

Seeing Jenny's determination, Sam suddenly stepped forward and touched Jenny's face, looking distressed. "Jenny, I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?

"I was just joking. Don't take it seriously. We are still family.

"I just made some soup. Drink some."

As I watched this scene, I just felt it was ironic.

How could Sam have the courage to get a divorce? Without Jenny, he was nothing.

He changed his attitude immediately.

But Jenny fell for it and her expression softened.

I felt disappointed. I hoped they could break up completely.

I had had enough of it.

In the next few days, Sam kept following Jenny around and taking care of her.

He also went to the restaurant to help Jenny.

He no longer mentioned the house but instead kept brainwashing Jenny.

"We only have one daughter. After she gets married, no one will take care of us in our old age.

"Luis is well-behaved and sensible. If we help him now, it will be an investment,"

Sam was like a salesman, trying hard to promote his products.

He was trying to make black into white. In fact, Luis was a loser.

Sam wasn't serious about his work at all. He would slack off when working as a security guard in the factory.

Fortunately, Jenny ignored Sam's words and just watched him coldly.
