Ex-husband, Please Don't Come Near Me!
Chapter 5
Maybe I was too eager. Troy came to his senses instead.
He suddenly let go of me and pulled me off him.
I almost fell to the ground. Looking at him confusedly, I asked, "Troy, what's wrong with you?"
He pushed me away and said in a low voice, "Miss Hawk, what makes you think I would want a woman who cheats?"
I was enlightened.
It turned out he cared about me and Joe.
"It is because you love me." I pretended to look innocent and said to him, "Troy, you said that no matter what I do wrong in this lifetime, you will forgive me."
"Except for this."
As he buttoned his shirt, he said indifferently, "Please leave!"
"Troy, I'm not leaving!"
I planned to stay here shamelessly, but Troy walked to the desk and made a call to instruct, "Call the security to escort the guest out."
I was stunned.
"He wanted to forcefully drive me out?"
"When did he become so heartless?"
Soon, Monica came in with two security guards.
She glanced at me with disdain and said to the security guards, "What are you waiting for? Drag Miss Hawk out."
The security guards knew my relationship with Troy. After looking at Troy several times and seeing that he had no objection, they walked towards me.
"Miss Hawk, please come with us."
I looked at Troy, but he picked up a folder on the table and talked about work with Monica.
The security guards started pulling my arm.
I never thought that Troy would kick me out like garbage.
Then I thought of Daisy's words.
At the thought of my relationship with Joe, I didn't hate Troy at all.
I was dragged out by the security guards, struggling and shouting Troy's name. Troy seemed to ignore my calls and talked to Monica about work.
Through the slowly closing door, Monica raised the corner of her eye at me triumphantly.
"Damn it!"
"How dare this calculative woman provoke me?"
In a moment of desperation, I shouted to the office, "Honey! I'm pregnant!"
My move indeed worked.
The slowly closing door suddenly opened.
Troy took a few quick steps towards me, pinched my chin angrily, and said, "Jessa, do you dare say it again?"
At that moment, I fell to the ground due to struggling too much. As he pinched me on the chin, I looked somewhat embarrassed.
Monica, who followed Troy out, deliberately said before I could say anything, "Troy, Miss Hawk said she was pregnant with Joe's child."
I was rendered speechless.
"What a pretentious woman."
I ignored her and looked at Troy in his eyes, repeating gently, "I... I'm pregnant."
"Are you deliberately showing off to me?"
"No..."
I shook my head, saying, "Troy, I will only bear children for you in this lifetime."
Troy's lips twitched. Looking at me more aloofly, he said, "Are you pregnant with my child? Go get a test, and we'll know."
After saying that, he pulled me up from the ground and walked towards the gate.
I looked at his profile face, but I didn't struggle. Instead, I tried my best to keep up with his pace.
As long as he didn't kick me out of the company, as long as I could still stay with him and have a chance to repent, it didn't matter even if he would take me to the hospital for a check-up.
On the way, I acted like a drama queen, crying and begging for his forgiveness. I smeared tears and snot on his shoulder.
I could feel that he was annoyed, but more than that, he was helpless.
A doctor held a blood test report and looked at me meaningfully, saying, "Miss Hawk is not pregnant."
Troy looked at me indifferently.
I lowered my head, pretending to be innocent and saying, "I said I would be pregnant next month, not now."
Troy habitually pinched my chin and asked, "Is this interesting?"
"No." I shook my head, adding, "But if I don't do this, you will kick me out of the company, right?"
...
"Troy, don't worry. Give me a month, and I will soon get pregnant."
Troy, who had been indifferent, had a hint of being moved on his face. He seemed to have no way to deal with me.
I knew that he couldn't resist my teasing, whether it was on the bed or under the bed.
...
Just when I was feeling proud of myself, the doctor next to me suddenly interjected, "Can you two have some awareness of what is stomach cancer? She is about to lose her life, and you're still thinking about having a child?"
I didn't understand his words for a moment. I looked at the doctor in confusion.
Troy was the first to ask, "What is it? Stomach cancer?"
