Chapter 3

My heart went cold as ice.

Just now, not only was I seen naked by male wolves in the distance outside the window, but he even installed a camera in the bathroom to record me.

Deep fear surged from the bottom of my heart, and I could not stop shaking all over. A bone-chilling pain seemed to be slicing me to death.

I could never have believed that Leonard was like this.

He met my gaze and paused for a moment, feeling a bit guilty.

My gaze was overly quiet, as if frozen, while my lips were trembling and pale.

A moment of discomfort flashed across his face, but he said righteously, "What's that look in your eyes? I have already said I'm busy and really cannot take care of you. Is it hard for you to forgive me for a moment? Who let you come back all dirty from outside? Don't you know I have an obsession with cleanliness?"

'Dirty? Then why didn't he mention his obsession with cleanliness when he was fooling around with Serina?' I pondered.

Leonard stopped looking at me and casually threw over a gift bag.

"Didn't you say you liked this? Put it on. You are coming with me to a formal occasion later. Dress decently and don't embarrass me," he said and walked away without looking back.

I stood there, slowly picking up the dress. The moment I unfolded it, I almost scoffed.

It was not a dress; it was practically lingerie. The fabric was so thin that it was almost transparent, completely unsuitable for a formal occasion.

My heart sank. I even found it a little ridiculous that he was so casual in embarrassing me.

I did not want to wear it at all, so I hurried to the wardrobe to find an outfit of my own. However, I found that all my clothes were gone after searching the entire wardrobe. If I did not wear the dress, all I had was this moldy, tattered bath towel to cover myself. It was utterly humiliating.

When I reached the door, I realized Leonard had lied to me. It was not a restaurant; he had led me to the entrance of the market.

"Leonard." I stopped, my tone colder than ever before. "Let me go back!"

Leonard's face instantly turned grim upon hearing my remark.

Serina, dressed to the nines, covered her mouth, and chuckled before saying sweetly, "You're the star of the night, how can you not go? Right, Lydia?"

The undisguised malice in her smile sent a shiver down my spine, almost making me throw up.

His cronies joined in the jeering as they maliciously looked me up.

"Leonard went to great lengths for you. You'd better cooperate and not spoil the fun!"

"Look at the way you're dressed. Aren't you the star of the market?"

"Don't be shy. Everyone's here to admire the good stuff."

These remarks made my head spin. I turned around to leave, but Leonard grabbed me tightly from behind. "You're not going anywhere tonight."

Fear washed over me instantly. I instinctively tried to pull away, but his grip was like an iron clamp; I could not move at all.

I mustered my courage and glared at him. "Leonard, have you forgotten what my father said?"

"I told you to be good..."

Before I could finish speaking, a sharp pain shot through the side of my neck, and I instantly lost consciousness. In my unconscious state, I vaguely heard their conversation echoing in my ears.

"We should have done this sooner. Why waste time talking to her? All that dawdling almost delayed us."

"Ms. Serina's clever. This specially made anesthetic works quickly and leaves no trace, preventing her from making a fuss again."

When I woke up, I was completely bound. Thick, stiff ropes tied me up, and fear almost overwhelmed me.

His cronies surrounded me. I was their prey. A pack of hungry wolves stared maliciously at me, their gazes fixed on me as if they wanted to devour me alive.

Meanwhile, Leonard had already long left with his arm wrapped around Serina's waist.
