Chapter 1

I have a special ability: I can see the name of true love on a person’s body.

I've been married to my husband for three years, and lately, I’ve noticed he's been distant.

Staring at him as he sleeps beside me, I pull up his shirt sleeve.

Looking at his arm, I see a name that isn’t mine.

I know now—he’s cheating on me.

I grab my phone, preparing to contact a divorce lawyer, but when I check my bank account, I find an extra ten million from a compensation settlement.

...

As my husband snores beside me, I toss and turn in bed, unable to sleep.

After three years of marriage, I've noticed that Julian Shaw has been growing colder toward me.

His daily "Good mornings" and "Good nights" disappeared. Now, he just comes home from work and crashes into bed.

A woman's intuition tells me something is off.

I have a special ability: I can see the name of true love on a person’s body.

When my college roommate got married, I accidentally noticed that both she and her husband had each other's names on their arms.

At first, I thought they were just matching tattoos, but I soon realized that only I could see them.

It turned out, my roommate and her husband were truly in love. After five years of marriage, they were still as sweet as ever.

So, when I started dating Julian and noticed my name on his arm, I was overjoyed.

When he proposed, I married him without hesitation.

But strangely enough, there was still nothing on my arm.

I didn’t think much of it at the time. I was happy for three years of marriage with Julian.

Until today. I looked at Julian’s arm, and my name was gone.

In its place was the name of his assistant, Tina Mooney.

I knew it—he was cheating on me.

I couldn’t help myself, I grabbed Julian's phone. In three years of marriage, I’d never snooped through his things.

On Facebook, my name was still pinned at the top.

But his chat with Tina was clean, just work-related messages.

Julian had a secret Facebook account.

I easily logged in to his second account.

Sure enough, Tina’s name was pinned at the top of his messages.

The note under her name: “Baby.”

I quickly got out of bed, turned on the small light in the living room, and sat quietly.

Tears flowed freely as I reflected on my past with Julian.

Even true love can fade with time, can’t it?

The next morning, Julian got up to go to work, and I sent him off, looking my best.

He glanced at me, then leaned in for a kiss.

I immediately bent down to tie my shoe.

Too bad, these slippers don’t have laces.

"Hurry up. You're going to be late for work." I said sternly.

Julian seemed a little disappointed, letting out a cold “Hmm.”

Ha. Still wanting to eat from the same pot when you're already eyeing another one?

Go to hell, you scumbag.

After contacting the divorce lawyer, I followed his advice and gathered more evidence of Julian's affair.

I hid in the parking lot of his office.

At 7 PM, Julian arrived at the parking lot.

My phone buzzed with a message.

"Clara, I’m working late, I’ll be home later."

You’re already in the parking lot, and you say you’re working late?

A while later, Julian’s assistant, Tina, got into his car.

They embraced like long-lost lovers.

My heart twisted in pain.

Though it hurt, I pulled out my phone and took pictures for proof.

Moments later, Julian drove away from the parking lot.

I quietly followed his car.

He parked in front of an upscale restaurant, and he and Tina walked in hand in hand.

I snapped a photo of them eating and rushed home.

At 10 PM, Julian returned home.

In the pitch-black living room, I sat quietly on the sofa.

“Clara, why aren’t the lights on?”

Julian sounded surprised.

Normally, I would be asleep by now.

I didn’t answer him, and the blinding light made me open my eyes.

“Clara, what’s wrong?”

Julian quickly rushed over to my side.

Don’t ask—just let the show begin.
