Death Note: Departing in Torture, Lost Forever
Chapter 1
As someone kidnapped me, I called my husband, Kurt Mills, for help.
However, my mother, Anna, said that I was making trouble. She told Kurt not to interfere but to take the opportunity to teach me a lesson.
After the terrible ordeal, I finally learned not to cry or make a fuss.
I thought both of them would be very satisfied.
Unexpectedly, Kurt's hair turned white overnight and Anna was blind when they knew the truth.
——
After the incident, Rosie, a female police officer, sent me back.
When I entered the house, warm lights were on in the living room on the first floor.
Kurt was cutting the cake, and my mother was singing the birthday song to him.
The moment they turned around and saw me, their faces darkened.
Anna scolded me angrily, "Where have you been fooling around these days? Why do you come back?"
Without uttering a word, I watched her face, which was a little blurry. Then, I bent down with difficulty to take my shoes from the shoe rack and put them on.
Kurt stopped my mother.
"It's okay as long as Lara is back. Anna, please don't say anything about her."
"Don't defend her. You treated her so well, but how did she treat you? She keeps making trouble every day. Today is your birthday. Look at her. Does she have a gift for you?
"Did she consider you? Did she remember that today was your birthday?"
Anna then shouted at me, "Lara, how do you act as a wife?"
I looked at my chattering mother and said calmly, "Don't worry! I won't do it again."
After saying that, I looked at Kurt. "Happy birthday."
Kurt reached out to pull me, but I suddenly felt nauseous and covered my mouth, almost vomiting.
I pushed his hand away and said calmly, "Let's get a divorce, and I'll leave the house with nothing. Go get the divorce certificate tomorrow morning."
Having finished speaking, I walked towards the bedroom on the second floor with difficulty.
I didn't know what Kurt's expression was. All I could hear was the sound of my mother cursing.
"Lara, don't go that far! In this world, apart from your father and Kurt, nobody will be willing to pamper you like this.
"It's not enough to lose your father. Do you want to make me angry to death too?
"Lara, I'm talking to you!
"Are you deaf?"
I ignored her roar and walked up the stairs step by step. Every step I took was so painful that it felt like it would take my life.
After going into the house and locking the door, I had no strength left and slid down against the door, then fell to the ground with my body tilted.
My head was covered in sweat, and my body was shaking uncontrollably. I could only hug myself with all my strength.
I heard my mother knocking on the door. Just the sound of her voice showed how angry she was. She must be mad because I ignored her like this.
Over the years, no matter what I did, she was never satisfied with me.
The only one who could satisfy her was my father's favorite student, Kurt.
In the past, I believed that no matter how outstanding others were, I was still her daughter. The reason why she liked Kurt should be because of me.
But now, I wouldn't be so naive anymore.
In fact, Kurt seemed to be her biological son, and I was her daughter-in-law.
"Anna, calm down. Let me talk to Lara alone."
Kurt tried to persuade Lara at the door, and she stopped knocking on the door, saying unhappily, "Don't indulge her! The more you indulge her, the more reckless she will be."
Kurt then knocked on the door.
"Lara, it's me. Open the door."
I collapsed on the ground, without the strength to speak.
"Did Kurt spoil me? Maybe he did before Saya Smith returned to the country." I thought to myself.
One month after we got married, Saya, his junior female schoolmate, came back.
One day when I went to see him, I bumped into Saya accidentally, and then some coffee spilled on her sleeve.
Kurt was so nervous that he pulled her behind him and scolded me with a cold face.
"Lara, what are you doing?"
I didn't do anything; I just bumped into someone accidentally.
It was Kurt who felt guilty.
He thought that I had already known about their affair.
In his view, I was trying to catch their adultery in the act.
At that moment, he scolded me, banning me from going to his workplace to look for him.
My intuition was very accurate. Once having a suspicion, I began to check it out thoroughly.
It turned out that Kurt and Saya were truly in love.
I was the one who kept them from falling in love.
Kurt and I had a big fight later. I asked him why he married me if he didn't like me.
He said that it was because my father was his teacher and helped him a lot.
