Chapter 3

We were together for a year before preparing for our wedding.

Ironically, the plot from the novel became a reality. His family thought I was from the countryside. They didn't agree with us being together.

They even offered to pay money to keep me away from Spencer!

When I met his parents, I didn't even have the qualification to eat with them at the same table.

At that time, I intended to retreat.

But Spencer was unusually firm. To be with me, he would rather have a falling out with his family!

The two of us lived on our own. Spencer started his own business. Everything changed after I got pregnant.

Seeing that I had a son, his family indirectly agreed to our relationship.

However, it was just a mere agreement!

During holidays, when my child and I went back, we weren't warmly greeted.

When my son and the son of Spencer's sister had conflicts, it was always my child who got beaten! When I wanted to argue, I was insulted by the entire family!

At first, Spencer would speak up for me!

But as time went on, he chose to turn a blind eye.

At that time, my child would always ask me, "Mom, don't grandpa and grandma like me?"

I looked at that young kid, wondering what to say for a while!

Later, Kate came back!

Spencer came home even less.

As soon as Kate came back, she went to Spencer's company and became his assistant. By the time I knew this, it had been half a year.

Because of this, I fought with Spencer!

"Can't you forget about her?"

I questioned Spencer while holding the child, with disheveled hair. TI was like a madman. I never thought I would become like this one day!

"Natalya Patton! Have you had enough of causing trouble?"

Spencer angrily pointed at me!

"I haven't had enough! Didn't you say you forgot about her? Then why did you spend the night with her outside last night?"

I shouted hysterically!

"We were together because of work! Don't talk nonsense if you don't understand! Enough is enough!"

That night, Spencer slammed the door and left!

Since that day, Spencer never came home!

Sometimes, he came back to change clothes and left.

I called him and asked why he did this. All I got was such an answer, "I am busty. I have no time!"

Before, even if he worked overtime late, he would always call me.

At that time, because of our relationship, I often tortured myself. Insomnia, hair loss, and a haggard face made me look like I was suffering from a serious illness. After my parents and children had an accident, I finally saw the reality.

"It turns out that no one in this world will love you forever!"

"Love is just a nice name that people use for their superficial desires!"
