Calling His Love, Calling My Heart
Chapter 2
Spencer looked skeptical and looked at me angrily.
"You can do whatever you want. Why do you curse the child and your parents like this?"
I looked up and met his eyes, presenting the death certificate.
"Do you think I would make a scene with you?"
Spencer looked at the death certificate in my hands, looking gloomy gradually.
He questioned, saying, "Why didn't you tell me such a serious thing?"
...
"Didn't I tell you? Spencer, check your cell phone yourself. How many calls and messages did I make and send you that night? Look at the red exclamation marks on WhatsApp! Isn't it ironic? Oh, I forgot. You were sleeping at Kate's house. How could you have time to answer my calls?"
Hearing my words, he sat down on the sofa.
Bringing up this matter again made my heart in great pain.
Just a moment ago, my child said on the phone, "Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa will bring me to you. I miss you and Dad."
The next second, what I saw were three corpses.
He was still so young. He hadn't yet felt the beauties of this world, and he died!
Thinking of this, I was in more and more pain.
Spencer and I were college classmates. We were different types of people.
He was the campus princess, and he had many pursuers at school.
And I was the invisible one at school.
He made a bet with his friends that he would find a girl different from others.
So, I became his target.
In school, I was not a popular figure, but I was a proactive and hardworking girl from a small town.
In school, my grades had always been among the top.
Once, there was a group project. I was assigned to the same group as Spencer! We were researching the most difficult topic.
At that time, the two of us often argued because of different opinions.
Later, because of my persistence, our group achieved good scores.
Spencer changed his opinion of me and specially invited me out for a meal on the weekend.
It was the first time we had a formal chat.
I was more introverted. The topics of the chat were all brought up by Spencer.
Afterward, while researching every topic, I would coincidentally form a group with Spencer.
Later, I learned that Spencer deliberately requested so to the teacher every time.
So, I found him, asking, "Why do you always put me in your group?"
He said, "Because you always come up with different ideas!"
Because of his connections, I became a focus at school. Finally, my classmates knew that there was a woman in this school who looked good, had a good temperament, and had excellent grades!
Over time, the two of us became the best partners in the eyes of our classmates.
At this time, Spencer had his first love in school, and she was Kate Lau!
Everyone said that they were a perfect match. For some reason, Spencer never mentioned Kate.
At first, I thought it was because they didn't want to show off. Later I realized it wasn't the case. It was because Kate was going abroad for further study, and Spencer was starting a business. They were growing apart.
During that time, Spencer was very negative, even neglecting his studies. I was by his side every day, constantly encouraging him. I saw him go from being depressed to getting better and better.
At that time, I hadn't noticed that he had changed.
After graduating from university, we were in the same city.
On the day of graduation, he confessed his feelings to me!
It was only after that day that I found out how wealthy Spencer's family was.
