Calling His Love, Calling My Heart
Chapter 1
I married the campus princess back then. He was handsome, rich, gentle, and elegant, a man every woman would dream of.
After seven years of marriage, we grew apart.
My parents had a car accident while taking our children out. I called him desperately.
A woman answered over the phone, saying, "Hello, miss. Sorry, he drank too much and fell asleep at my place. If you have something urgent, leave a message. He will get back to you when he wakes up!"
I handled the funeral alone and sent him a message on WhatsApp, [Let's get divorced!]
The next day, he replied, [Okay!]
——
A week later, he came back.
Upon seeing him enter the house, I indifferently glanced at him and ignored him.
Spencer Horne put down his clothes and said as he untied his tie, "Didn't you go home? When did you come back?"
After searching around, he couldn't find his slippers. In the past, I would bring the slippers to him, take the clothes from his hands, and prepare hot water for his bath.
But now, I didn't do that.
Seeing that I didn't move, Spencer went to take a shower by himself.
Halfway through washing, he opened the door and shouted at me, "Come help me scrub my back!"
I didn't answer.
After a moment, he walked out.
"Didn't you hear me when I called you?
I looked up at him expressionlessly.
"When are we getting divorced?"
He looked at me with confusion.
"How much longer are you going to make a fuss? Didn't I say I drank too much that day?"
Seeing that I didn't respond, he continued, "There were many of us together at that time. When we drank too much, we all slept at Kate's place! If you don't believe me, ask others! Is it fun for you to always make trouble for no reason?"
"Am I making trouble for no reason?"
I looked at him in confusion. He seemed to think that I did so to prove that he harmed me.
"It's ridiculous."
"Alright! Stop making trouble. Rest early. We must go to your house tomorrow!"
"Going to my house?"
I found it funny.
"Yes, go to your house. Tomorrow, we'll take them to the hospital for a re-check-up and bring our son back! The day after tomorrow, we'll take the child to the amusement park. I promised him a long time ago, but we never go there."
He continued talking to himself, unaware of how gloomy I looked with my bloodshot eyes at that moment.
"Where are you going to see my parents and pick up the child?"
I suppressed my emotions.
"Of course, I'm going to your house!"
Looking at his face, I couldn't hold back anymore. Then I broke down.
They are no longer in this world! Where will you go to find them? Where do you want me to go to find them?"
I shouted almost madly.
Spencer was scared by my look, falling to the ground!
