Mia’s POV:

“Mom, it’s all your fault! If it weren’t for your stupid plan that year, that bitch Anya never able to get a chance to become Mrs. Carter!” Tara complained while stomping her feet in anger. “It’s been so long since Evan divorced that bitch, but he never mentions marrying me at once… and now when Anya is back… what I am going to do?”

Hearing Tara's words, I could not help but grit my teeth grumpily. Whenever I thought about what happened six years ago, I couldn’t help but regret it. That was the only decision that I regret most in the world.

At that time all I wanted to do was to kick Anya out of the house, so, I made a well-designed plan because I wanted Anya to bring dishonor to the family so that the old man kicked her out of the family, and she would lose her right of inheritance.

But I had never expected that my plan would be backfired, and Anya slept with Evan. What was even more frustrating was that not only did that old man kick Anya out of the house but arranged for her and Evan to get married.

Every time I thought of what happened that night, my whole body filled with anger, and I wanted to kill that bitch Anya more…

I gritted my teeth and tried to comfort my daughter, “I did all this for you, silly. And if it weren’t that old shit, my plan would have been successful. But that old bastard! I didn’t expect her to love that bitch more than his family reputation…”

As I heard the whispering from the crowd, my lips curled up in a smile. However, I tried my best to maintain a sad expression as I looked at the crowd and said, “May I have your attention, please! First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming to my father-in-law’s funeral and…”

Suddenly a reporter cut me off and asked, “Mrs. Walter, is it true that Anya is going to take over the Walter Group as the new leader?”

Hearing that, I paused for a moment, before replying, “To be honest, I don’t want to talk about business matters on such a distressing day. However, for a company as big as Walter Group, one man’s words can’t decide everything. We will do a board meeting to pick the right executive director.”

“Mrs. Walter, why isn’t Anya here on such an important day?”

As I was saying, I suddenly heard the sound of the engine outside the cemetery. So, I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a stretch limo making its way into the cemetery, followed by a fleet of Mercedes.

“Look at the license plate. It seems to be Mr. Helsen’s car!” Suddenly the reporter exclaimed excitedly, as they all rushed towards the car.

Only then I realized that, indeed this car looked familiar. I had seen this car many times in the news, and I knew that it belonged to Kester Helsen.

There were two well-known wealthy young men in X city. One of them is Evan Cater and the other is Kester Helsen.

Kester is the second son of the casino magnate in V city, and he also runs an entertainment company called Shining Star Media. Most of the famous artists in the entertainment industry worked under his company.

However, like Evan, who loves to keep a low profile and rarely appears in front of the media, Kester is known as the man of publicity.

Then I saw the door of the car opened and Kester stepped out of the car first.

“Wow! It’s really Mr. Helsen!”

The press exclaimed excitedly as they ran over like flies, smelling blood.

However, my attention was on Kester, who walked towards the car behind him, opened the car door, and helped a woman get out of the car dressed in black clothes like a gentleman.

However, as soon as I saw the woman, my mind went black! The woman was none other than Anya! However, what shocked me the most was, why is she with Kester. What was their relationship?

As I was in shock, other people’s voices fell into my ears.

“Is this…? Wow, it’s Anya Walter!”

As I still had not come out of the shock I saw just now, when I saw two adorable kids wearing tiny black clothes getting out of the car after Anya.

The boys seemed to be three or four years old.

And looking at their faces, my heart almost stopped beating.

“Mom, the boys looked exactly like….”

As I was lost in deep thought, my daughter’s anxious voice pulled my thoughts back to reality. As I was afraid, she would say something she shouldn’t, I held her hand and said, “Don’t talk nonsense!”

From her expression, I know what she was trying to say, as I also think the same. Those two boys looked exactly like Evan, especially in their eyes. They both looked like a mini version of Evan.
