Back To The Month Before the Scumbag Husband Died

Reborn with a secret, I find my husband Kevin Collins and my best friend Stella White kneeling before me, desperately pleading their innocence over their secret affair and child. Instead of exposing their betrayal, I smile and play the forgiving wife. They have no idea I know the truth—or that Kevin is fated to die in a fatal car accident in just thirty days. By keeping my composure and maintaining this marriage for one more month, his vast billionaire fortune will legally become mine.

Chapter 8

I nodded and said, "Of course I dare."

Stella was delighted and probably thought that I was a fool.

But I quickly sighed and said, "But Kevin was cremated because he had been in a car accident and suffered severe burns all over his body. You knew this, so you deliberately brought Tommy here, hoping to use the pressure of public opinion to make me recognize Tommy."

Stella stumbled to the side of the coffin and saw that there was no body inside but a high-end urn!

Stella stopped acting and pointed her finger at me, saying, "How come he was cremated today as he just died yesterday? You did it on purpose. You murdered him!"

People who attended the ceremony were all shocked.

I didn't panic but just explained to everyone, "Kevin was driving dangerously and crashed into the mountain. He would have been fine, but he caught fire after the collision. Not a single piece of his skin was left intact. I couldn't accept others seeing Kevin like this, so I cremated him overnight."

I looked at Stella and said slowly, "Didn't you come here with Tommy just because you knew Kevin was cremated?"

Stella covered her chest and said, "You are talking nonsense."

Mary snorted coldly and said, "It's not up to you to decide whether Mrs. Collins is talking nonsense or not. Since you said that this child is Mr. Collins, don't you have a paternity test in all these years? Don't you even have a birth certificate?"

I secretly gave Mary a thumbs up and continued to say to Stella, "Stella, please stop this and let Kevin rest in peace."

Stella wanted to say something else, but I felt that it was enough, so I asked the security guard to kick them out.
