Back To The Month Before the Scumbag Husband Died
Chapter 9
My lawyer and I were handling the inheritance procedure when Stella came again, but this time she came alone.
I guessed that she wouldn't give up so easily, but I didn't expect her to do it so soon.
Stella sat beside me and said, "I went to the hospital and asked. You gave up on rescuing him on purpose. Kevin should have a chance to survive."
I didn't refute.
Stella snorted coldly and said, "There's no one else here, why are you still acting? Aren't you tired of acting like this every day?"
In my previous life, when I asked Stella to borrow money in the hospital, she said the same thing as now, "Do you think you are great just because you have money? I hate people like you who pretend to be saints."
I looked at her face and found she was totally different from when we first met.
Stella was ostracized in school because she was pretty and her family was poor. I saw her hiding in the toilet to eat pitifully, so I held her hand and told everyone, "Stella is my friend from now on, and no one can bully her."
Later, Stella and I became best friends. My family was relatively well-off, so no matter what I bought, I would buy one for her. She was always very happy and introduced me to Kevin to thank me.
The similar backgrounds between Kevin and I made me feel very close to him. After confirming that Stella and Kevin were just ordinary friends without any romantic feelings between them, Kevin and fell in love and got married.
To help him achieve something, I sold the house left to me by my parents and used it as Kevin's first starting capital.
Thinking of this, I smiled and said, "Seeing you angry makes me less tired."
