Angryly Scolding Vampire Bestie
Chapter 1
My best friend came from a poor family, but after taking my bank card, she turned herself into the “rich girl” on campus.
She spent my money like it was nothing, yet behind my back, she told everyone I was some sugar baby.
My roommates turned on me, and I unknowingly upset the counselor and every professor. The guy I had a crush on called me names.
I spiraled into depression. My dad wanted to send me to Washington, D.C. for treatment, but she twisted the story, accusing my dad of things that led to his arrest. His company went under, drowning in debt.
While my mom was fighting to clear his name, she got into a fatal car accident.
Relatives abandoned me as if I was a plague. When I hit rock bottom, mentally shattered, my “friend” tricked me into going to the mountains, where her brother, desperate for a wife, locked me up, leaving me to die.
Meanwhile, she stole my designs and my money, secured funding, and became a celebrated young entrepreneur in the city. She was even honored as a famous alumnus of our university.
But then I woke up, back in my freshman year.
I looked over at Kylie Carter, standing in our dorm, smugly announcing, “It’s a holiday! Everything’s on me today!”
I smirked and my eyes locked on the card in her hand, my card.
…
——
“It’s Labor Day, and I'm treating everyone to dinner at that fancy five-star restaurant!”
Kylie announced with a big smile in our dorm, instantly earning cheers and praise from the other two roommates.”
“Kylie, you’re so generous!”
“I love you, Kylie! Hanging out with you has been such an upgrade. You even got me my first designer bag!” one of them gushed.
Kylie smiled and handed me a lipstick. “Happy holiday, Sienna.”
Mia, our dorm leader, rolled her eyes and snorted. “Of course, you'd just mooch off Kylie’s gifts, as usual. No shame!”
Kylie, playing the role of the sweet friend, jumped in, “Oh, Sienna already gave me a gift earlier. She’s nice.”
Wilma glanced at me with disdain. “Kylie, you're too kind. If it were me, I wouldn’t even bother with her.”
While the two of them excitedly got ready, putting on makeup and picking outfits, Kylie leaned over to me and whispered, “I know you’ve got to go home for the holiday since your family lives nearby, so I didn’t invite you along.”
She added, sighing dramatically, “But don’t worry, I’ll keep sticking up for you. I’ll make sure they don’t hate you too much.”
Watching the familiar scene unfold, it hit me. I had been reborn.
I remembered how Kylie would always frame her spending as helping me “build better relationships” with our classmates.
But in reality, she was spreading rumors behind my back, telling everyone I was selling my body to get by.
Because of her, my roommates hated me. They’d throw things at me and lock me out of the dorm.
I never understood why everyone seemed to turn against me. I didn’t know what she was doing.
Later on, I designed a perfume as my senior thesis project. But right before graduation, my design mysteriously became Kylie’s.
When I presented it, the professors and students all accused me of stealing her work. They said I was lucky Kylie even tolerated me, and that I had betrayed the only friend who cared about me.
The truth was, Kylie was the only one who’d ever seen my project.
I got a major black mark on my record, and the whole school talked about me. The campus confession page was full of rumors, calling me shameless.
I was harassed, my name dragged through the mud, and after the guy I liked publicly insulted me, I sank into depression.
Now, I saw it all clearly. This time, things would be different.
I was sobbing to my dad, saying I couldn’t handle school anymore. He was so supportive and promised to take me to Washington, D.C. for treatment.
But after Kylie came under suspicion, she got my dad and another girl drunk and falsely accused him of wrongdoing.
Despite his innocence, my dad was arrested, and his attempts to defend himself were useless. His company went under, and we were left with huge debts.
My mom, already exhausted from fighting legal battles for my dad, died in a car accident.
Eventually, I found out the awful truth. It was all Kylie’s scheme to get her hands on my money.
She switched my medication, making my condition worse.
One day, a man, claiming to be handling my parents' belongings, tricked me into going to the mountains.
It turned out that Kylie had sent me to her brother, who couldn’t find a wife, intending for me to be his bride.
With no family or support, she figured no one would come looking for me.
I was tied up and brutally mistreated.
One night, her brother, drunk and enraged, beat me and demanded I have his child.
When I refused, he strangled me.
Now, I’m back to my freshman year, before all that pain and humiliation began.
Kylie, you ungrateful snake.
Remember, you were just a poor girl from nowhere, using me as a bargaining chip for your brother!
