Chapter 3

Yolia’s POV

I wished he could see me standing right before him, but he could not.

It was not usual for me not to be at the door when he came back. Even if I was asleep, I was a very light sleeper. I would still hear the knock and come downstairs.

I always cooked his dinner and made sure it stayed warm for his return.

He was tense when he didn’t see me. “Where the hell could she be?” Alpha Ryan asked.

“I do not know. She could be upstairs.” I went upstairs, I was right with them.

She followed him up to our bedroom. This was more or less the first time she entered this deep into my home. Normally, I would not even let her cross the door because I could see through her and I knew the kind of snake she was.

At first, we were friends. She would tell me how much she admired my relationship with the alpha and wanted to protect it.

“Do not worry baby, I will be sure to let you know anytime anyone wants to steal your man.” She would say. I was so happy back then because I knew I had someone to watch him for me.

From there, she began sending pictures of him and other women to me. This caused constant fights in the house and we began growing distant.

The day I finally knew her evil was when I paid her a surprise birthday visit at the office. There she was, with him, comforting him, while he complained about me and my nagging attitude.

She advised him to find someone better and end things with me. Hearing these things I was shocked to my bone marrow.

I confronted her and made her know I finally understood her game. She showed me these things to make me fight with him, while she acted as a comforter to him, drawing him closer to herself.

Since then, she had always been afraid to look into my eyes. She stopped sending the pictures. I just didn’t know that she was still seducing my mate and making me look bad before him.

When they entered the room, I was nowhere to be found. They became suspicious.

“She isn’t still here.” Ryan said. He yelled out my name over and over, but there was no response. I could feel him getting tense.

He was confused, but then again, Renie was there to twist his thoughts.

“Has she ever been out this late before?” She asked him.

“No, she hasn’t.”

“It could be that she’s seeing something. Nothing else could make her stay out this late.” She told him. Ryan grew angry.

“I would kill her if she did that! That would be the end of it!” He yelled angrily. “If you ask me, you guys ended a long time ago.” She said as he caressed him from behind.

“That’s what I have been trying to tell you for a while now, but you never listen.”

I know what she was trying to do. She wanted to have sex with him right there and then. I guess this was the first time she had him in the bedroom alone with her and she wanted to make the most out of it.

The mood changed when she accidentally knocked off a glass portrait of Alpha Ryan and I.

Alpha Ryan never liked to snap pictures. That was the only one I could fortunately take with him and she broke it.

“Oh my God!” She said at once as she bent down to pick the broken pieces.

“I am sorry, I am sure you both adored this portrait.” She said in a calm, serene voice. A voice that was impossible to get angry at.

“It’s okay, just don’t hurt yourself.” He told her. “I watched as she took my only picture with the love of my life and tossed it into the waste bin.

She saw a necklace on my jewelry table. The diamond necklace my Alpha gave to me on the day he engaged me and took it.

“This looks so pretty!” She said, “Can I try it on?” She asked.

Ryan gave a disapproving look because he knew the significance of that necklace. Not only was it expensive, it was the symbol of our love.

She however did not back down. She kept pleading and pleading and pleading until he could not bear anymore.

“You can give it a try.” He said.

She jumped in excitement as she quickly went to it. If I did the same thing, pressed for something like that, he would have called me out, but here he was, being all calm to this snake in werewolf form.

I watched her put on my greatest treasure, the one that meant the most to me. It felt like he just transferred my love to someone else. I was pained, the fact that I could not do anything about it anymore acted like icing to that cake.

She helped him take his clothes off and put him to bed. I guess her plan to have sex with him failed because once on the bed, he closed his eyes and I would say sleep at that time. I guess he was too drunk to do anything.

I could see the disappointment in her eyes as she expected more.

She laid beside him and began to caress him, then took pictures of him with her and sent them to me.

I was confused as to why she did them, until she captioned it. “I am taking care of him.” Followed by a kiss emoji. I guess it was to show me that she was winning.

She had my necklace on, she was on my bed and with my mate. What else did she need to prove that?

Things however took a drastic turn when she turned to Ryan and his eyes were wide open. He hadn’t been sleeping all along and he saw all she did. She was scared.
