After the 250th Failed Blind Date
Chapter 1
After Hearing My Ancestors' Voices, We United to Resist, Only to Encounter a Fake Necromancer
Due to the 250th failure of my arranged dates, my grandmother believed that the ancestral tomb was improperly located and decided to move it.
As she cried out her apologies to the ancestors, the helpers were about to dig.
Suddenly, I heard the voice of my great-great-great-great-great-grandmother.
To my surprise, the whole family could also hear my thoughts.

"Ahhh! Who's digging up my tomb so early in the morning?"
I heard an angry roar as my dad and uncles were digging the ancestral grave.
I looked around in confusion but couldn't find the source of the voice.
However, the owner of the voice didn't stop. "Aren't these all my descendants? Why are they digging up the ancestral grave?"
A sigh followed. "I remember a fortune teller once telling me I'd face a calamity when I was over two hundred years old. I called him a fraud back then. Turns out, he was a master."
I was horrified, searching everywhere, but everyone was busy and nothing seemed amiss.
Oh no, this must be an auditory hallucination! A symptom of schizophrenia!
How can I, a graduate student living on a few hundred a month, afford treatment that costs over 10 thousand dollars?
Lost in thought, I didn't notice everyone around me had also paused.
But the mysterious voice continued. "Hey, Emma, can you hear me again?"
Oh no!
She even knows my name.
Maybe it's some mountain spirit.
I'm going to die!
The owner of the voice seemed very excited. "Emma, don't you remember me? I'm your great-great-great-great-great-grandmother."
How could I possibly know my great-great-great-great-great-grandmother? This is too ridiculous.
But the owner of the voice wouldn't give up. "How could you not know me?"
She paused. "Oh, I remember now. You fell into the river when you were little and got water in your brain."
As a proud graduate student from a prestigious university and an academic achiever renowned in the surrounding area, this was the first time I had been ridiculed like this.
My eldest cousin Nathan suddenly let out a strange laugh.
I glanced over at him.
He hurriedly explained, "Sorry, I just farted."
I couldn't be bothered with him because the woman claiming to be my great-great-great-great-great-grandmother was asking, "What's wrong with your grandma? She's kowtowing and apologizing. What's going on? She should say something."
It is because I have failed 250 arranged dates.
My great-great-great-great-great-grandmother screamed again. "What does that have to do with me? You messed up, and I have to suffer?"
Because you're my ancestor.
She sounded aggrieved. "All I did was give birth to a child. When I died, I was your age. If I'd known I'd be dug up after dying, I wouldn't have had kids."
At this point, everyone who had been hearing my conversation with my great-great-great-great-great-grandmother stopped what they were doing.
My great-great-great-great-great-grandmother muttered, "This tomb was carefully chosen by your great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. The consultant said that if we were buried together here, it would bring good fortune to our descendants."
Everyone started filling the dug-up soil back into the grave, even borrowing some from the neighboring tomb.
I looked at them in confusion and asked, "What are you doing? Aren't you going to dig anymore?"
Grandma shook her head. "Forget it. You are not worthy of us doing this for you."
I was completely dumbfounded.
