From then on, he was like a beam of light entering my heart.

Even my father, after hearing about our relationship, softened toward me, telling me to get along well with Ethan.

“Even if you don’t care about yourself, Alex Sterling is your brother. If you divorce, will he still study peacefully abroad?”

My tears suddenly burst out, uncontrollable like a broken dam.

I knew that from the moment my mother was driven to death by a mistress, I had lost my home, and I worked hard to raise my brother. But I never thought it would feel so cold, so crushing. Even my late mother was shamed, and my younger brother used it again and again to threaten me.

Feeling the stabbing pain in my abdomen, I finally sobbed aloud.
