After Six Years, My Husband Had Another Woman’s Child

I forced back my tears and said with sorrow,

“I don’t want this child. I’ll fulfill your wish.” Ethan’s pupils widened sharply, staring at me in shock. Then, he glanced at the fruit knife on the coffee table, grabbed it, and plunged it into his arm with a dull thud.

“Hannah, let me make it up to you, okay?”

“Keep the child. I don’t want a divorce.”

Before I could respond, a slim figure rushed over, clutching his wound.

“Ethan, how could you be so reckless!”

She yanked my hair and violently shoved me aside.

“Hannah Sterling, you’re so heartless. No wonder you can’t have children.”

With a crash, I slammed onto the coffee table, pain shooting through my spine like it was snapping.

Sabrina, pulled by momentum, stumbled and fell into Ethan.

As she frowned and held her stomach, Ethan panicked, sweeping her into his arms.

“Sabrina, where does it hurt? I’ll take you to the hospital right now.”

With that, he bolted toward the door, turning back anxiously once he stepped outside.

“Hannah, it’s not what you think. Stay calm, I’ll explain everything later.”

I tried to call after him, but a sharp pain seized my abdomen, and warm fluid streamed down my thighs.

I really wanted this child. I said it only in anger; I never intended to give him up.

But he got upset, and he is leaving me.

Tears fell uncontrollably.

Through my blurred vision, Ethan carried Sabrina away, not once looking back at me.

The security guard at the entrance heard the noise and rushed in. Seeing me lying in a pool of blood, he immediately called 120 in fright.

I lay in the cold operating room, listening to the nurses gossip nearby.

“Mr. Graham treats his wife so well. She only sprained her ankle, and he insisted the hospital director check on her. Mother and child are both safe. They even handed out big Cash gifts, saying it was for the baby’s protection.”

“Sigh, too bad I wasn’t there. I’m here helping the chief doctor with the abortion. I should’ve hurried to tend to Mrs. Lane, too.”

One nurse pouted at me as she spoke.

I shut my eyes, feeling my child quietly slipping away from my body, tears falling endlessly.

When the doctor pushed me out of the operating room, Ethan arrived.

Our parents came with him.

The moment my mother-in-law saw me, she exploded in fury.

“You can’t even watch where you’re going while pregnant! An adult tripping on her own feet—what are you even capable of?”

“Do you know how many times I’ve prayed to the gods and Buddhas for Ethan to have a son soon? Otherwise, everything in the family will go to that little tramp.”

Ethan wasn’t an only child; he had a younger brother born outside marriage. My father-in-law declared that whoever bore the Graham family’s eldest grandson first would receive 20% of the shares.

My stepmother glanced at me with disdain before smiling obsequiously at my mother-in-law.

“My dear in-law, this child has always been stubborn. Don’t be angry. Mr. Sterling and I will make sure she’s disciplined.”

My father glared at me, too. After all, if I’d carried the Graham family’s eldest grandson, he could act superior when dealing with the Graham family.

But I was worthless; I’d lost that precious grandson.

Everyone stared at me, some satisfied, some disappointed, but no one asked why I miscarried, and no one even asked if I was in pain.
