Chapter 1

When Jeremy Wolfe was still a poor student, I provided him with a place to stay and supported him financially for his studies.

Finally, he became the top scorer in the exam to get an official position in the country.

He promised me, "Sandra Brennan, marry me, and I'll treat you well for the rest of my life."

On our wedding day, however, Jeremy gave me away to the so-called tyrannical and murderous seventh prince Bryant Cooper for his promotion.

He said, "Sandra, it was Mr. Cooper who forced me! It's alright. I don't mind it, and I'll treat you well for the rest of my life."

I believed him once again.

I devoted all of my assets to him, but he never touched me without even a hint of affection.

It wasn't until a cup of poisoned wine took my life that I realized everything had been a mistake!

A strong smell of alcohol came to my nose as I woke up slowly, and the first thing I saw was an extremely charming face.

The pain beneath me made me instinctively try to escape from the man before me.

"You're awake."

The familiar voice snapped my awareness fully back.

It was Bryant...

At that moment, he reeked of alcohol, his gaze fixed on me with an intense focus. His handsome face exuded no trace of the brutal demeanor I remembered.

"What are you hiding from? Tonight is your wedding night."

My wedding night?

Had I been reborn?

But the groom shouldn't be Bryant.

It should be Jeremy.

Today, dressed in finery and marrying my lover joyfully, I performed the rituals and entered the bridal room. However, after drinking the wine, I lost consciousness.

When I woke up, I was in Bryant's bed.

In my past life, on this very day, Jeremy had sent me as a gift to the man before me. He was Bryant, the seventh prince of this country, the only son of the empress, known for his violent and murderous nature. Whatever he desired, he would obtain.

I struggled desperately when I woke up, provoking Bryant's wrath. He did it so violently in bed that my body suffered, but I still dragged myself back to Jeremy.

Once back, my nightmare truly began.

Jeremy, with tears and anguish, claimed that Bryant had forcibly taken me, and it was an irrevocable situation.

He said, "Sandra, it was Mr. Cooper who forced me. It's alright. I don't mind it, and I'll treat you well for the rest of my life."

I believed him. But even after three months since our wedding, he still refused to touch me.

He claimed, "You are Mr. Cooper's woman. How could I dare to do it?"

It wasn't until he poisoned me that I realized everything had been a lie.

Bryant's lips were close to my ear.

"Are you still thinking about your useless husband?"

I felt a shiver across my body, my brows furrowing as I placed my hands on his chest, lightly pushing him away.

"It hurts."

Bryant's lips curved into a smile as he held my waist.

"I'll be gentle."

Recalling the endless torment of my past life, I placed my hands around his neck and closed my eyes, leaning into his embrace.

As I expected, he changed from his previous savagery, treating me with tenderness and deep care.
