After Losing My Child, I Decided To Divorce
Chapter 9
A month after the memorial day, my sense of smell started to fail.
I couldn't smell the strong perfume scent on the clothes anymore.
It was only when I was washing his clothes and saw the lipstick marks on his collar that I was shocked to realize that Bruce had probably cheated on me.
I had already thought of this day, so I didn't react much and simply put his clothes into the washing machine.
Then I sat frozen in the room for the whole night.
I knew this day would come sooner or later, but when it actually arrived, it was so painful that I couldn't think straight.
When Bruce came back, I neatly placed the washed and dried suit in front of him, and asked calmly, "Bruce, do you have someone new you like?"
Seeing the suit, Bruce did not hide it, just saying, "You really disappointed me."
I disappointed him so much that he went to find someone else.
I nodded and continued, "Then let's get a divorce. The person you like must be young and outstanding. You can't let her be the mistress. That's not good."
I was a dying person and I should let him go. I shouldn't be a hindrance between them.
Bruce frowned and sneered with clenched back molars.
"It's been two years, and you finally agree to get a divorce, right? Isn't your family asking you to rely on our family? Will your mother agree to your divorce?"
I remained silent for a moment and didn't directly answer the question. "Whenever you think it's appropriate, let's go to get a divorce. Don't worry about the money, I don't want a single penny."
"I'll move out right after the divorce. That girl definitely doesn't want to meet me either. She should also like children, otherwise how could you like her? But if she is not in good health, please don't force her to get pregnant, okay? Getting injections really hurts, and the medicine is also very bitter."
After rambling on for a bit, I abruptly shut up, realizing that I didn't deserve to bring up the subject of children, and fell silent again.
"...Forget it. I talk too much. Just pretend you didn't hear those words."
Bruce had never mentioned divorce to me. It turned out that he was waiting for me to speak first. Just as I finished speaking, he turned around coldly and left without hesitation.
"I'll meet you at the court next Monday morning at 8 o'clock. Pack up and get out of my house."
"Daisy, I'm really tired of you."
The door was slammed loudly, and I quietly held the suit and went back to my room, hanging them neatly in the wardrobe.
I was tired of you too.
