After Losing My Child, I Decided To Divorce
Chapter 10
I packed my luggage.
As a dying person, there was nothing to take with me, so I stuffed all the odds and ends into a small-sized suitcase.
Before leaving, I took out the last medicine I had left in the baby room and put it in my carry-on bag.
I took a few photos of the baby room and said to Bruce without turning to him, "If that girl moves in, remember to redecorate this room."
I didn't want anyone else to use this room except for my child.
After leaving the court, Bruce didn't even look at me and drove towards the company.
I called the hospital.
"Yes, doctor, there is a bed available, right? Okay, I'll come over today."
Life in the hospital was simple and boring. My only pleasure was reading the diary I wrote before, and doing various examinations in the hospital.
At night, when the attending doctor came to check on me, he looked at me with concern. "Ms Hill, I'm sorry you can't be cured and you can only wait for death. Do you really not need to ask your family to come over?"
I thought for a moment, but I couldn't recall any face of any of my relatives. With a guilty smile, I said, "It's okay, I don't have any family."
The doctor left helplessly.
On the thirtieth day of hospitalization, my condition worsened and the hospital put me on a ventilator.
I couldn't remember anything anymore. I lost my vision, everything in front of me was pitch black, and my head became heavier and heavier.
The diary said that today was the day to go to court to get the divorce certificate.
But it seemed like I couldn't go for it.
I gradually lost consciousness and my breathing became lighter. I could faintly hear the urgent sound of machines.
Bruce called me several times. He questioned why I was late and if I had changed my mind.
The nurse hurriedly answered, "Hello, this is the DC Hospital. Are you Ms. Hill's family? She's not doing well."
