Chapter 2

Looking at Marla's eyes filled with hatred, she was no longer the cute girl in my memory who used to smile.

Seven years ago, she was still a little girl who would be happy all day because of receiving a rose for 1.5 dollars.

Now, she was like a poisonous poppy flower, which was beautiful yet deadly and was willing to do anything to achieve her goals.

Marla shook her phone in front of Victor and said coldly, "Victor, I recorded what just happened. You'll have two days to think about whether you want to tell me where your brother is. Otherwise, I will post this video online. I think when your brother sees it, he will feel the pain and appear on his own."

A struggle flashed across Victor's face as he suddenly stood up and rushed towards Marla, wanting to snatch the phone, but he was stopped by the people she brought.

She looked at Victor as if she was watching a clown, "It makes no difference even if you snatch the phone because I can still make it happen again. When you snatch once, I'll do it again."

At that moment, Victor seemed to lose all his strength and collapsed on the ground, "My brother, how could you fall in love with such a cruel woman?"

Marla burst into laughter, "As long as you tell me where he is, I promise you will have a smooth life in the future.

"Of course, you can still refuse, but the cost is a hundred times more painful than what just happened. So, do you think it is worth destroying your whole family for Zac?"

I didn't expect that Marla, who used to avoid walking around when seeing ants on the ground for fear to hurt them, had become so vicious. Was my decision wrong?

I thought Marla would end it here today, but when she had someone bring my mother in from outside, my soul also shivered.

As soon as Victor saw my mother, his first reaction was to find a place to hide, because no one would want their family to see their miserable side.

But Marla had someone catch him who was trying to escape, squatting beside him, whispering like a demon, "My good little brother, if you don't tell me where Zac is, I can only let his mother sleep with others."

"Marla, why are you so crazy?" "Victor's voice sounded in despair.

"You can't treat our family like this..."

Marla sarcastically laughed, "your family still had my depressed mother come see me when I'm at my worst state, so why can't I treat you like this?'

Seven years ago, on my birthday, Marla came to me happily with a gift. When I opened the door, I saw myself and the daughter of a wealthy family sitting on the sofa, kissing passionately.

When I heard the noise, I looked up and impatiently said, "Marla, why can't you choose a better time to show up? Can't you see I'm busy? I must be blind to like someone as boring as you. I can forget when you're poor, but don't expect me to suffer with you."

Marla seemed to remember something, and her gaze became even fiercer, "I originally only wanted to torture Zac alone, but your family still wants to protect him. Since that's the case, I'll let your whole family suffer for him.

"Of course, if you regret it, you can also hand over Zac."

Hearing this, my mother, who was being suppressed, began to struggle hard, "Marla, please let's go over. Your uncle has already been killed by you, but why won't you let us go?"

Hearing my mother's words, I took a few steps back. Even though it was my soul, I still felt a piercing pain at this moment.

I always thought that my dad was on a business trip, but I didn't expect that he...

"Ah..." I knelt on the ground, feeling a sense of powerlessness all over.

Marla reached out to uncover the blindfold my mother was wearing, and Victor trembled in despair.

In the instant the blindfold was uncovered, she was grabbed by a pair of hands.

I followed those hands and saw that the person was Dion Lawson, a bastard who I'd still wanted to beat up seven years after my death.

If it weren't for him, how could Marla, my family, and I ended up like this?
