Chapter 1

My husband, Gavin Smith, who was a dink, suggested going Dutch, and I agreed.

But after I got pregnant unexpectedly, Gavin and his family begged me to give birth to the child.

When I was about to give birth, I couldn't go into labor naturally, so I needed a Caesarean section. But Gavin didn't sign the agreement because of the high cost.

In the end, I died of the difficult labor, and the child also died.

When I opened my eyes again, I was at the time when Gavin was puncturing a condom.

I suddenly opened my eyes and found myself lying in the bathtub at home.

I was shrouded in mist, making everything seem unreal.

I quickly touched my belly and found it was flat. That was when I realized that I was truly reborn!

I paused for a moment before walking out of the bathroom.

As soon as I entered the bedroom, I saw Gavin using a needle to prick something.

I lightly approached him and saw that he was pricking the condom used for contraception!

I was shocked. No wonder I got pregnant unexpectedly in my previous life!

I had taken contraceptives every time, but I still got pregnant. It was actually because of Gavin!

"What are you doing!"

Gavin was frightened by me and looked shocked when he saw me.

"Honey, why did you finish washing so quickly today?"

I snatched the condom from his hand. "We agreed to be dinks before getting married. What do you mean now by doing this?"

"Honey, let me explain!"

"How many times have you done this?"

"It's the first time. It's really the first time!"

I didn't want to listen to his explanation, so I just slept in a separate room from him and prepared to go to the hospital for a check-up the next day.

The next day, I did a check-up at the hospital, and I was relieved to know that I wasn't pregnant.

Sitting on the bench in the hospital, I was thinking back to my past life, and I couldn't get over it for a long time.

Gavin and I were college classmates. We dated for two years and got married after graduation.

During our relationship, we had taken turns treating each other. After all, we were both students with limited living expenses, so I thought that was normal.

Before getting married, we had agreed not to have children. So, I readily agreed to Gavin's proposal for the AA system after marriage.

However, I hadn't expected that I would get pregnant unexpectedly.

I hadn't wanted this child originally, but when Gavin found out that I was pregnant, he had been extremely happy.

Even my parents-in-law persuaded me to give birth to the child.

Driven by maternal instinct, I couldn't bear to abort the child, so I decided to give birth to the child.

We also went Dutch during my pregnancy, which made me feel uncomfortable, but I didn't object.

From when I became pregnant to when I was about to give birth, Gavin and Amy Smith, my mother-in-law, kept persuading me to have a natural birth, saying that it would be good for the baby.

But when I was about to give birth, I couldn't have a natural birth because the baby was too big and in the wrong position.

The doctor found Gavin and asked him to sign the agreement for the Cesarean section.

But he didn't sign it because he didn't want to split the cost with me.

When the doctor told me that, I was so angry that I wanted to sign the agreement myself, but I didn't have the strength to hold a pen.

Finally, I died on the operating table along with my unborn child.

I didn't expect that I could come back! I'll have a bone to pick with Gavin.

When I got home, Gavin and Amy were there.

It seemed that Gavin knew that he had angered me last night, so today, he called Amy, who had been in the hometown.

"Mom, since you're here, let's talk it all out today."

"Gavin told me all. He was wrong indeed, but it's understandable. You're getting older. It's time to have a child. Otherwise, who will take care of you when you're old?"

"Before getting married, we agreed to have no child and to go Dutch after marriage. Now you should change your mind and be trying to trick me into having a child. Can Gavin go Dutch as for giving birth to a child? Will we be pregnant for five months respectively?"
