After Being Beaten by My Wife's Boyfriend
Chapter 3
The ancient vase shattered on the ground, its fragments scattering everywhere.
An expert in the crowd suddenly picked up a piece and murmured, "This looks like an ancient porcelain. At an auction, the starting price would be a billion!"
Hearing this, Webster immediately stopped, cold sweat breaking out. He hadn't expected a simple vase to be worth so much.
"Mr. Leopold, don't worry. All this was bought with your woman's money. Her money is your money, right?"
"Destroying your own things is perfectly fine."
Their words made me laugh out of sheer anger.
Daisy was a spendthrift, and she also had a terrible track record with businesses. Every venture I funded for her had failed spectacularly.
The division I let her manage saw its performance plummet in just a few months, losing millions in value—less than a tenth of that porcelain's worth.
If she weren't my wife, I would have fired her long ago.
But Webster took their words to heart.
"My girlfriend's money is my money. Her stuff is my stuff. What's it to you if I break my own things?
"Everyone, don't hold back. Smash everything!"
With Webster's command, the group went into a frenzy. This time, they were completely unrestrained, smashing everything with renewed vigor.
Vases, antiques, luxury watches—they left nothing untouched.
They shredded my custom suits and limited-edition bags with scissors, like bandits ransacking a city.
My once pristine and orderly villa was turned into a wreck in mere minutes, littered with broken pieces and trash.
Reasoning with madmen is futile. Seeing them go berserk, I silently took out my phone to call the police.
I could only silently take out my cell phone and call the police.
Just as I was about to dial, one of the keen-eyed streamers rushed over, grabbed my phone, and smashed it to the ground.
"Call the police? A homewrecker like you, where do you get the nerve?"
"From the moment you became a homewrecker, you should have expected retribution."
"Exactly! Just because it's not illegal doesn't mean we can't deal with you. We, the Guardians of Morality, punish scumbags like you!"
The livestream chat exploded with comments: [So thrilling!]
[That's how you deal with homewreckers!]
I glanced at my shattered phone on the floor, then at the mob destroying my house, and calmly said, "I hope when it's time to compensate, you'll be as enthusiastic as you are smashing things now. Don't beg me for mercy."
They ignored my warning and smashed things with even more zeal.
They broke every antique in my display case, and even the case itself was destroyed beyond recognition.
They became more and more excited as they smashed things and interacted with the audience.
"Feeling the satisfaction, folks?"
"Look at this scumbag pretending to be refined while keeping all these antiques. It's a disgrace!"
"These treasures in his hands are an insult!"
"Keep the likes coming, so we can continue our righteous quest and turn this scumbag's home into a garbage heap."
Watching these maniacs destroy everything in sight, I no longer intervened.
I just cast a calm glance at the house's surveillance cameras.
Every bit of their rampage was being recorded.
In the end, they'd all face the consequences.
"Folks, let's see if there's anything left unscathed. Make sure this homewrecker has nothing good left."
With that, they stormed into my bedroom, searching everywhere.
"Here's a storage box!"
Someone came out of the bedroom holding a wooden box.
My expression changed. "Don't touch that."
