Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative-driven adventure from Don’t Nod Montréal (creators of Life Is Strange), now fully released. The game unfolds in two parts—Tape 1 (released February 18, 2025) and Tape 2 (released April 15, 2025)—available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

Story & Setting

Play as Swann, and return to the summer of 1995 in the fictional town of Velvet Cove. Alongside friends Nora, Autumn, and Kat, Swann forms the punk band Bloom & Rage, filming their adventures and struggles. But a mysterious event ends their friendship with a vow of silence.

In 2022, the now-43-year-old friends are drawn back together by fate. Swann must face the long-concealed secrets that fractured their bond decades ago. Themes of nostalgia, friendship, regret, and healing permeate both timelines, weaving a story that unravels layer by layer.

Themes & Inspiration

Inspired by Twin Peaks, The Craft, and riot-grrrl culture, Lost Records evokes 90s atmosphere with an undercurrent of mystery. The tension between youthful idealism and mature reflections defines the emotional core.

Behind the Scenes

Don’t Nod assembled a writing team including Desiree Cifre and Nina Freeman to ensure authenticity in both timelines. Creative director Michel Koch emphasized the importance of a unified storytelling voice, with Swann as the sole playable character to maintain narrative cohesion. Lost Records also sets the foundation for a potential series under the Lost Records universe.
