Whispers of the Heart
Chapter 2
When Charlotte went to the piano room to practice the next day, she was late on purpose.
Charlotte didn't arrive until quarter past eight for a class that was supposed to start at eight o'clock.
Seeing Charlotte come over, Stella looked angry. Charlotte had guessed it because Stella hated students being late for class the most.
Stella scolded Charlotte and told her to practice the piano quickly.
Charlotte kept apologizing to Stella, but Stella said seriously, "Go practice the piano. You have already wasted too much time."
Charlotte made several mistakes while practicing the piano and was criticized by Stella.
Stella was a perfectionist, which could be seen from her experience. She had high demands on herself and her students. But all her students were excellent. Strict teachers produced excellent students. Every year before the postgraduate entrance examination, students tried their best to ask her to be their mentor.
After finishing piano practice in the morning, Charlotte went to see Stella alone.
Charlotte limped over. Stella asked her, "Did you hurt your leg?"
Charlotte pressed her lips and looked a little shy. She lowered her head. Stella saw many kiss marks on her neck.
Stella immediately understood what was going on.
At this time, Charlotte said shyly, "Ms. Sampson, I'm sorry for being late today."
Stella said, "You are not allowed to have this happen again."
Charlotte smiled and nodded, "Thank you, Ms. Sampson. You're not angry with me anymore, right?"
Stella looked into Charlotte's eyes and said calmly, "Practicing the piano is your business."
"Actually, my boyfriend came over last night." Charlotte's voice was filled with shyness, and her face was flushed.
Stella had been young once. Looking at Charlotte like this, she could tell that Charlotte was in love.
Charlotte was well-known in the music conservatory. The reason why Stella was so strict with Charlotte was because she was optimistic about Charlotte. Charlotte had good basic skills, a good image, and a positive attitude. Stella was willing to support Charlotte.
Many people were pursuing Charlotte. Stella had encountered several men sending Charlotte flowers and gifts before. But Charlotte seemed to have high standards and had never really agreed to anyone.
Stella was a little surprised to hear Charlotte say that she had a boyfriend. "You have a boyfriend?"
Charlotte nodded. "Yes, we have been together for a year and a half. But he is busy, and we don't have many opportunities to meet. He suddenly came to see me last night, so I was late today..."
Charlotte felt very happy when she said these words in front of Stella as if she had defeated Stella.
Stella didn't know the truth now, but she would know it sooner or later.
When Stella knew the truth and recalled what Charlotte had said today, her expression would definitely be interesting.
Charlotte wanted to continue talking when someone suddenly came to find Stella. "Ms. Sampson, your husband is here to pick you up for lunch."
Charlotte's pride and pleasure in her heart disappeared instantly at these words.
Stella went to find Isaac upon hearing that he was coming. Charlotte followed Stella and met Isaac with her.
Isaac saw Stella and walked up to her, hugging her in his arms and considerately combing her hair.
Charlotte saw this scene and felt jealous. She smiled, "Ms. Sampson, you're so lucky."
Isaac glanced at Charlotte and asked Stella, "Is she your student?"
Stella said, "She's Charlotte, a very smart girl."
Isaac nodded slightly towards Charlotte as if they had really met for the first time.
Charlotte naturally couldn't compare with the psychological quality of Isaac. After all, there was an age difference between them.
The man who had hugged her and called her "baby" last night and said he would divorce his wife for her was now showing his affection with his wife in front of her. Charlotte found it intolerable.
