When Your Love Comes Late
Chapter 2
Thinking of Zayn's tired voice, I became even angrier. My husband was so tired, but he was still tortured by his crazy fans.
The more I thought about it, the angrier I became.
I, the eldest daughter of the Yellen family, couldn't swallow it. I decided to confront them.
Hence, I immediately got in my Ferrari.
Sure enough, on the way to Zayn's Hotel, I saw a car following them.
I called the police and followed the private car.
Unexpectedly, the car noticed that I was following it and drove away in another direction.
I couldn't let them escape, so I sped up and chased after them.
Seeing this, the car also sped up and fled.
My desire to win was aroused. I stepped on the accelerator to the end and smiled evilly.
Racing with me? Stupid.
Only the reaper could stop me!
Of course, there were also the police.
"This is the reason for your car racing. The policeman opposite knocked on the table and said seriously,
"Fortunately, you are not in the downtown area. Otherwise, do you know how serious the consequences of racing are?"
Yes, I called the police and they arrested me as well.
"I am sorry, sir," I lowered my head as if I was admitting my mistake.
Seeing this, the policeman's tone became much better.
"But your reason is fair, and since you didn't cause any serious consequences, you may pay the fine and ask your family to take you back."
But I was in L.A for the concert. I had no other family there.
Except for my husband, who I was crazily in love.
In the end, I made called him.
"Excuse me, Mr. Mitchell... Can you pick me up?"
Half an hour later, Zayn appeared at the police station.
He was wearing a white casual suit, and his hair was half dry. He should have just taken a shower, and he still had the fresh fragrance of shower gel on his body.
"Is Jessie Yellen your wife?"
"Yes, I'm Jessica's husband," Zayn replied calmly as he tilted his head to look at me.
The policeman looked enlightened and joked with a smile,
"No wonder she chased after your fans desperately. It turns out that she was protecting her husband."
I lowered my head and looked at my toes. I wished I could find a hole to hide in.
Suddenly, the person next to me held my hand and nodded with a smile.
"She's indeed a little impulsive. She'll be careful next time."
I was dragged out by Zayn.
In the passenger seat of his car, I was still in a trance.
"Fasten your seatbelt, Miss Yates."
"Oh, okay." I finally recovered from the joy of holding hands just now.
Then, the car became quiet...
This was the first time we stayed with each other since we got our marriage certificate. Zayn had concert as soon as we married.
"I'm sorry to trouble you so late at night, Mr. Mitchell." I felt so guilty that I couldn't help apologizing.
"I should thank you, Ms. Yellen." Zayn turned around with a smile on his face as he stared into my eyes.
After our eyes met for a second, I looked away in a panic.
I was afraid that I would melt in his eyes every second.
"Ms. Yellen, your ears are red."
"Ah!" I pinched my ears with both hands and pretended to be calm. "Maybe it's too hot."
"I see." Zayn retracted his gaze, but the smile on his face had yet to fade.
"Ms. Yellen, come back to the hotel with me. I'll go back to the Yellen's house with you tomorrow."
Back to the Yellen's house? Why? Was he going to divorce me cuz I got myself in jail?
After all, he liked elegant ladies.
My mind was filled with thoughts of regret.
"Ms. Yellen, don't think too much. Your mother asked us to go back for dinner tomorrow." Zayn suddenly explained.
"Okay." I nodded obediently, but in my heart, I was wondering if Zayn could read my mind.
However, returning to the Yale family for dinner gave me a headache.
If I'm not mistaken, my dear mom had a idea again.
The next day, I went back home with Zayn.
Before entering the villa, Zayn suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" I wondered.
Zayn raised his arm and asked,
"Miss Yates, shouldn't we act like a sweet newlywed couple in front of your parents?"
