When Things are Uncertain, It's Best to be Cautious

Fortunately, she discovered all of this when she was still young and unmarried. Besides she had planned to leave them.

Before, she thought that leaving without saying a word would be a bit unfair to Lucas' parents and would be like an ungrateful person. Now it seemed that she was overthinking.

The elevator door slowly opened.

She covered her red and swollen eyes with sunglasses, straightened up her emotions and lifted her head. However, the moment she met the eyes of the people inside, her whole body stiffened.

It was Lucas and Kiara.

Vivianne did not want them to see her in such a mess, so she covered her face and turned around to leave, but Lucas grabbed her arm first. "Why are you here?"

"There's something I have to do here."

Vivianne did not turn back, maintaining the posture of being pulled by him and answering in a low voice.

Lucas frowned tightly and said, "Are you sick? Why is your voice so hoarse? Did you kick off the blanket when you slept last night?"

She almost could not hold it anymore.

What did he mean with this?

It was him who confessed, it was him who proposed, it was him who cheated, it was him who used cold violence, it was him who treated Vivianne as a substitute and it was him who brought the mistress into the house to hurt and humiliate her last night!

Vivianne shook off the man's hand, turned around and looked into his dark eyes through her sunglasses.

"Now, in what capacity are you caring about me?" She sarcastically pointed to Kiara next to her, "So, is this the true sweetheart of yours?"

Lucas seemed to freeze for a moment.

He took a step forward, opened his mouth and wanted to say something, but when he caught a glimpse of the arm held by Kiara, he fell silent again.

After a long time, he responded expressionlessly, "You don't have to be so weird. Even if you can't be my lover, you will always be my sister."

Hearing his words, Vivianne almost burst out laughing.

How could there be someone as shameless as Lucas in the world?

Her former-self was so blind, that was why she was so devoted to him!

She was subjected to cold violence, betrayal, deception, being used as a substitute and being confronted by the mistress ... all the resentment and anger surged into her heart at this moment.

She could not bear it any longer and slapped him in the face.

"Fuck your shitty sister!"

"Lucas, you are such a scumbag, a complete scumbag!" She yelled, then calmly looked at him for the last time and said softly, "We broke up."

The elevator closed and opened again.

This time, Vivianne did not avoid or hesitate and went straight in.
