Wanda thought her future with Raymond Blake was secure, especially with their unborn child on the way. But the sudden return of Nancy Smith exposes his sweet promises as devastating falsehoods. When a crisis on a rooftop forces Wanda to witness Raymond comforting his true love Nancy instead of his ailing, pregnant partner, the painful reality becomes undeniable. Though a regretful Raymond later begs for forgiveness, Wanda’s final, silent revelation of their lost child's ultrasound leaves him completely shattered.

When I Saw Through His Lies Chapter 1

Nancy Smith returned, when Raymond Blake and I were most in love.

He held me in his arms, gently stroking my belly with his big hands and whispering soothing words.

“Wanda, you don't have to worry, our family of three will never be separated?”

Such a lie was eventually exposed.

That day, I accompanied him to the rooftop and persuaded Nancy to come down.

But when my stomach was aching severely, I watched them hugging and kissing each other tightly.

Nancy will always be his only love.

I should have known better.

Later, he knelt on the ground and begged me not to leave.

I didn't say anything, but just put the ultrasound picture of the already formed fetus in front of him, and he went completely insane.

Raymond said he had to work overtime tonight and asked me to eat first and not wait for him.

I looked at the screenshots of the post from Nancy's social media sent by my friends, and my heart ached as if it was bleeding.

In the photo, two extremely beautiful hands are interlocked.

The man's hands had distinct joints, and the plain ring on his ring finger was gone, replaced by a faint white mark.

Perhaps the baby sensed my emotions and kicked me gently in my womb.

I called him it rang for a while before being picked up.

“What's wrong, Wanda?”

Raymond's voice was very gentle, without any flaws.

I took a deep breath and managed to suppress my trembling voice.

“Where are you?”

There was a noticeable silence on the other end of the phone for a moment.

“I'm working overtime at the company. I'll be back as soon as I'm done, honey.”

This is the first time he has lied to me in such a long time, because of Nancy.

Raymond, when you lied, what you were thinking about was the guilt you felt towards me, or the regret that you couldn't continue to accompany her.

I've liked him for 10 years, but for a moment I didn't even have the courage to expose this lie.

I just sitting quietly on the sofa, looking at our wedding photos hanging on the wall.

In the photo, I smiled happily and brightly, as if I owned the whole world.

The candlelight flickers, creating a romantic yet desolate atmosphere.

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary.

The candlelight dinner that was prepared early has now become a huge joke.

Why today?

I don’t know how long it took, so long that even the vehicles on the road gradually became sparse.

The door opened and footsteps that couldn't be more familiar were heard.

"Wanda, I'm sorry. "

Raymond held me in his arms, hugged me tightly.

When I thought about the fact that these hands were holding Nancy just now, I couldn't help feeling nauseous.

Then she pushed him away and ran to the bathroom.

"Is the child bothering you again? "

He stroked my back again and again, and anyone who saw it would only praise him as a good husband and a good father.

I looked up at myself in the mirror. My eyes were red and I looked extremely haggard, in stark contrast to Nancy.

A light pink lipstick mark appeared dramatically on Raymond's collar.

When he saw me staring at him, he finally reacted.

"Wanda, it's not what you think. "

"Today a girl fell down and I was right next to her, so I reached out to help her up and I may have accidentally gotten some dirt on my collar."

He looked panicked, worried.

I said nothing and looked away.

Seeing that I didn't believe him, he took out a necklace from somewhere like a magic trick.

The pink diamond sparkles beautifully under the light.

"Happy 3rd anniversary! "

I let him put the necklace on me.

It turned out that he didn't forget, but just chose the girl who needed him more.

“You went to find her.”

I stated the facts calmly and confidently.

Raymond's originally proud expression collapsed in an instant.

“sorry...”

He held my hand, and he looks like a deflated ball.

"She was abused by her husband and came back alone with her child. I felt pity for her and was afraid that you would be emotionally agitated during your pregnancy, so..."

I took over his words.

"That's why you hid it from me, you locked your fingers with her, as long as I don't know, it doesn't matter. “

I looked up and stared at him, my vision blurred by tears.

”No, that's not truth, Wanda.]

Maybe he knew his explanation was too pale, or maybe he couldn't think of a reason to continue lying.

He just hugged me, thinking that this would make everything smoother.
