Louis was about to ask his bodyguard to kick down the door of Gretchen's house. I couldn't hide anymore, so I put on a turtleneck sweater, covered my whole body and went downstairs.

"Frank, you come with me."

I grabbed Frank's sleeve and didn't let go.

Under the sunglasses, Louis's eyes fell on my hand.

Then he stopped Frank, "Sorry, today is a family dinner, it's not convenient for outsiders."

Frank smiled and gently squeezed my arm. "Don't be afraid, I'll wait for you outside."

He picked up the key and walked towards his car.

Louis frowned and helped me open the back seat. "You sit in the back."

I sat in the back seat obediently without saying a word.

Along the way, Sharon seemed particularly excited and kept talking. Louis simply echoed a few words.

"Serena, why are you so quiet today?"

I shook my head, "I feel a little uncomfortable."

Louis didn't say much. He just stepped on the accelerator and soon arrived at the old house.

Sharon smiled and tried to please Marianne, handing over a luxurious gift box. "Aunt, this is a gift I brought you from abroad!"

Marianne's smile froze on her face.

She looked at Louis with dissatisfaction, "It was said to be a family dinner, why are outsiders here?"

Marianne didn't like Sharon.
