When Agony Fades, Bliss Begins

“I know you don't like being in the hospital, can we go home?” Ronnie coaxed softly.

Edwina did not say a word to Ronnie and let Ronnie take her back to the villa.

It was already late at night when they returned to the villa. Edwina was weak and exhausted, so she turned her back on the bed and began to sleep.

Ronnie said this to Edwina in a flattering way. Seeing that Edwina ignored him, Ronnie sighed and could only take the initiative to hug she to sleep.

Edwina felt sick, but she really did not have the energy to struggle. She just wanted to go to bed early. When she woke up, Penelope would come to pick her up.

She was awakened by thirst in the middle of her sleep. She was still feeling uncomfortable and wanted Ronnie to pour her some water, but Ronnie had disappeared.

She frowned and could only grope her way downstairs to get some water.

But when passing by Diane's room, Edwina heard a slight panting sound from inside the room.

She was furious and pushed open the door, “What are you doing?”

Edwina suddenly opened the door and scared Diane, who could not help but scream out in surprise.

Ronnie did not expect Edwina to wake up, so he lied, “Edwina, there are bugs in Diane's room. I'm here to help her…."

She yelled, “Ronnie, do you think I'm a fool? I'm blind, but my ears are very useful! We just lost a child and you have the mind to sleep with another woman here?

“Ronnie, do you have a heart?”

Ronnie quickly got out of bed and grabbed Edwina's hand, explaining, “Edwina, it is not what you think. My brother died and my sister-in-law became a widow. She just wants to have a child, otherwise her second half of life will be so difficult.

“Besides, the doctor said that you will never be able to have children again. I did this because I don't want our family to be extinct.”

Edwina used all her strength to slap Ronnie in the face and yelled, “Ronnie, you only listen to what you are saying, right?”

Seeing Ronnie being beaten, Diane stepped forward and looked at him distressedly, “Ronnie, are you okay?”

Ronnie shook his head. Diane looked at Edwina and said, “I'm sorry, Edwina. It's all my fault. I came up with this idea. If you want to blame someone, blame me. Do not be angry with Ronnie.”

Edwina slapped Diane in the face and yelled, “Stop pretending to be pitiful here!”

Diane did not expect Edwina would actually do something to her. She covered her face and tears instantly burst out.

Ronnie saw Diane being beaten, he pushed Edwina to the ground and shouted, “Edwina, why are you crazy? As a woman, Diane just wants a child, why are you so stingy?”

Edwina collapsed on the ground, tears streaming down her face as she scolded, “I'm stingy? Ronnie, our child died because you forced me to drink for this woman. Now you are here with the murderer who killed our child, are you worthy of our child?”

Ronnie felt pain when Edwina poked him, but he did not say anything.

Edwina stood up with great effort, holding on to the floor and sneered, “Ronnie, you really disgust me.”

After saying that, Edwina turned back to the bedroom and slammed the door shut.

Edwina fumbled to pick up her phone and sent a voice message to her bestie, “Come pick me up early this morning.”

She did not want to stay in this place for even a second.
