Chapter 1

"Brother Jing, can you not marry this woman?"

On my wedding day, Han Wei appeared on the red carpet one step ahead of me.

She looked at Gu Jing with tearful eyes and once again staged the scene of a heart attack.

It was also on this day that my mother left me forever that night, and she would never see the day I got married.

I called, but only received a cold sentence from Gu Jing: "Don't bother, I've been working hard lately."

I hung up the phone and finally took a look at my mother's tombstone.

My mother had a sudden leukemia two years ago, and her biggest wish during her lifetime was to see me have a happy and fulfilling family.

I begged Gu Jing for a long time before he finally agreed to get married.

Now that my mother has passed away, I suddenly realize that everything seems indifferent.

"Let's break up."

I calmly sent a text message to Gu Jing and then blocked and deleted all of his contact information.

When I got home, I was ready to pack my things and bid farewell to this sad place.

But as soon as I arrived at the yard, I happened to see two people flirting with each other.

"Brother Jing, are you good or bad? I need you to wash my dirty skirt."

Han Wei lifted the hem of her skirt and covered Gu Jing's head.

Gu Jing was sitting on the ground repairing the lawn, accustomed to all of this.

Even if he had a slight sense of shame, he could see me by pulling open Han Wei's skirt.

"Let it go, wait for Xia You to come back and wash it."

He spoke very casually.

"What should I wear then? Xia You's clothes are too fat for me to wear."

When she said this, Han Wei was staring at me with a provocative expression on her face.

Five years ago.

I have been with Gu Jing for five years, and she has provoked me for five years.

But Gu Jing ignored this and said to me, "She's still a child, you must let her go."

I bypassed the two and prepared to go back.

Seemingly hearing footsteps, Gu Jing poked his head out of his skirt in confusion.

"Oh, you're back? My phone runs out of battery, take it to charge me."

Gu Jing spoke on his own.

"Also, Vivi wants to have the steak you made for lunch."

"I said she refused to take her to the restaurant, insisting that you made it to her taste."

"Please work hard and give Vivi a good patch."

He said for a long time but no one replied.

As soon as I looked up, I realized that I had long disappeared.

"Oh, forget it. If she doesn't want to do it, don't force her. It's the same for her brother to make it for others to eat."

Han Wei acted coquettishly with a sweet and greasy voice.

I almost vomited when I just went upstairs.

When are these two self righteous guys still trying to bully me?

Gu Jing and I met at the hospital run by his family.

At that time, my mother had already fallen ill due to exhaustion, and I often took her to have a physical examination.

By chance, I met Gu Jing's grandfather and got to know him very well. He often gave his mother free physical examinations and waived some medical expenses.

One day when I took my mother to the hospital, it was Gu Jing who received us.

"Are you Xia You? Grandpa has been feeling unwell lately and he specifically asked me to take care of you."

When we first met, his handsome face and elegant voice made me fall into it.

Later, with the help of Grandpa Gu Jing, we naturally walked together.

It was at that moment that my nightmare began.

At first, I really thought that Han Wei was just Gu Jing's sister.

Until one day, she personally expressed her opinion on me.

"Oh, are you the woman who brainwashed Grandpa Gu and then flattered Brother Jing?"

"Your methods are all I have left over from playing, you have to be careful!"

I still remember Han Wei's contemptuous expression.

Downstairs, Gu Jing caught up.

"Xia You, what are you doing? Didn't you hear me talking to you?"

He stood at the door of the room shouting loudly at me.

I ignored him and continued to tidy up my clothes.

"What do you mean?"

Gu Jing's face changed.

Seeing me still packing my clothes, he immediately stepped forward and grabbed my wrist.

"Don't keep going, okay? It's just a wedding, right? I'll just supply you!"

Gu Jing's words were both unpleasant inside and outside.

It seems that what was interrupted was not a wedding, but an unfinished breakfast.

I shook off his hand and continued packing.

Gu Jing's patience seemed to have run out, his eyes staring impatiently at me, as if thinking that this would make me feel his anger.

Of course I won't pay attention to him, just pulling my suitcase and preparing to leave.

At the door, Han Wei suddenly appeared.

Her voice rang out before she even entered.

"Oh, Xia You, I'm sorry..."

Before she could finish speaking, she secretly lifted her elbow towards me.

It has been five years, and I am clear about every trick she uses.

As I dodged sideways, I casually stuffed my suitcase in front of her.

Han Wei, who had lost her center of gravity, tripped and fell to the ground.

Before landing, I saw an incredulous expression in her eyes.

"Vivi!"

Gu Jing went crazy and hugged her.

I'm almost laughing in anger.

Every time I am bullied by Han Wei, no matter how much it hurts, he thinks I'm pretending. Even if Han Wei scratches a little, he collapses on the same day to deal with it.

"Xia You! Are you crazy?"

He looked at me in anger.

"What's wrong?"

I calmly stared at him.

Han Wei grabbed Gu Jing's hand and said coquettishly, "It's not Xia You's fault. It was Wei Wei who accidentally tripped on her own. Wei Wei is so stupid."

Gu Jing's face darkened as he carried Han Wei onto the bed that once belonged to me.

"Xia You did it intentionally, right?"

Gu Jing stared at me with a very unfriendly tone.

Maybe he thought he could still bully me like before.

Even if you scare me, I will apologize.

"Are you blind?"

But I just coldly threw him such a sentence.

Gu Jing fell into a state of stagnation.

In his impression, I have never rebelled against him even once!

"Don't donate your eyes anymore, there are still quite a few people with disabilities in the world."

I have a slight curve at the corner of my mouth.

These days, I have been handling my mother's funeral alone, while Gu Jing is accompanying his good sister in the hospital and has not even made a phone call.

When we meet again, it's just the two of them playing flirtatious, and he's not at all sorry about the wedding.

Even wanting to treat me like a nanny and manipulate me like before.

How could this be possible?

I am now, but I am no longer afraid.
