Chapter 1

When I was dying of torture, Dad was choosing a gift with the sponsored girl.

The kidnapper gave me a chance to ask the nearest person for help.

But Dad didn't give me a chance at all. "Get lost! Don't disturb me!"

Later, the CID investigated a murder.

The corpse was skinned and deboned.

My father went to the scene and sighed when he saw the gruesome state of the dead.

He cursed the murderer for being inhuman but he didn't recognize me.

——

My body was hung in the warehouse.

When I was found after a long time, my body began to rot.

The CID sent the most experienced criminal policemen to investigate the murder that had caused a sensation in the city.

My dad was one of them.

He was an experienced criminal police officer. When he received the order, he was at the sponsored girl’s banquet.

Soon, he arrived and inspected the scene seriously.

Frowning, he sighed. "The murderer was too cruel. I'm afraid the victim had suffered a lot before the death."

The young policeman followed behind him, carefully avoiding damaging the crime scene.

Seeing my body, he couldn't help retching.

The body needed to be dissected, so I was carefully moved to the forensic room.

My dad had a good relationship with Dr. Lewis, so he followed him to have a look.

Dr. Lewis identified the deceased as a young woman who died seven days ago.

My dad was stunned for a moment and couldn't help but feel sorry for her. "Such a young girl. So pitiful."

I floated in the air and swayed.

Following behind him, I saw the evidence handed in by the others.

There was a piece of rag on my clothes. It was from my favorite shirt, which I had worn many times.

My dad might find it a little familiar, so he picked it up and looked at it for a while.

Confusion flashed across his eyes but he couldn't remember where he had seen it.

I wasn't sad. After all, I couldn't expect him to remember me from a piece of burnt rag.

But I couldn’t forget the pain when the murderer was holding a hot stick and pressed it against my back.

  Even my soul was trembling.

The autopsy report came out quickly.

In addition to the age and time of death, it could only be confirmed that the deceased had lost too much blood in severe pain.

"The deceased was a young woman between 25 and 27. Before she died, she was abused and stabbed with a dagger. She died of excessive blood loss. The murderer took extreme measures to deal with the body. Some of the deceased's organizations have not been found yet, and only a part of the fragments were found at the crime scene."

"I'm not sure who she is. We need to do a DNA match."

After listening to Dr. Lewis's report, my father threw the pen on the table and cursed the murderer for being inhuman and cruel. This incident was extremely nasty.

He proposed to conduct a missing person search pending the results of the DNA match in order to pinpoint the target.

No one objected to the specific process.

My dad took the lead and distributed the documents to the others.

All of a sudden, he received a call from Auntie Barkley.

Auntie Barkley was a good friend of my parents for many years and was always been nice to me.

She couldn't get in touch with me, so she could only ask my father. "David, has Joyce contacted you recently?"

When he heard my name, his face darkened and he said fiercely, "No. Who knows where she goes to fool around!"

Auntie Barkley sighed, "I haven't been able to contact her for a few days. Is she all right?"

"She'll only cause trouble every day. It's best if she dies outside!"

Auntie Barkley knew that we had a bad relationship all these years. She hesitated for a while and said, "No matter what, Joyce is also a victim."

"For so many years, because of her mother, she cried many times and has always hated herself."

"She only has you. Even if you don't care about her, don’t you care about her mother? How could her mother be willing to see her sad for so many years?"

Hearing that, my dad gritted his teeth and said, "Does she care about me?"

"Alice was persuading me to forgive her when Alice had the car accident."

"But she didn't show up when Alice was hospitalized for two days!"

"Alice missed her so much and wanted to buy her a gift when she was discharged from the hospital to buy a gift for her teachers. But she is heartless. I don't want her to be my daughter!"

"I don't care where she is. She has nothing to do with me anymore! From now on, I will only have one daughter that is Alice!"

  I closed my eyes.

I wanted to tell him that I was dead on the day you accompanied Alice to buy gifts.

Therefore, as you wish, only Alice would be your daughter in the future.
