The Vicious Mother-in-law Killed My Child and Despised Me
Chapter 1
My mother-in-law is a cruel woman. She acts like a decent person in public, but once she's home, she transforms into a tyrannical mother-in-law.
She looks down on me, her "unworthy" daughter-in-law, and even caused the death of my newborn daughter. Now she wants to arrange for my husband to take a mistress.
But I'm no pushover either.
Since you, mother-in-law, have the audacity to act this way, let me show you what true "evil" looks like!

On our wedding day, my mother-in-law already displayed her stinginess.
For the wedding gift money, she only gave me a measly 1,000 dollars red envelope.
Before the envelope even had a chance to warm up, she barged into my room that night and demanded, "This money was just for show during the day. Now that it's used, give it back to me."
I foolishly complied and returned the envelope.
Later, when I mentioned this to my colleagues, they angrily scolded me, "You didn't even ask for a dowry, and you gave back the wedding gift money? What an idiot!"
My mother-in-law essentially got me into the family without spending a single cent.
I thought this was just me being a good person, not wanting others to think asking for a dowry was like selling one's daughter. But in her mouth, I became "a cheap good-for-nothing, not worth a penny."
She would often say this behind my back to my husband Rogan. I could hear snippets of it.
Although it made me very uncomfortable at the time, I considered the family harmony and didn't want to argue over this. I just turned a blind eye and kept quiet.
But this only emboldened my mother-in-law further.
After the wedding, I officially moved into Rogan's home.
The next morning, I still hadn't gotten used to calling my mother-in-law by name, so I accidentally called her the wrong name.
She immediately threw down her bowl and yelled, "Rogan, is this the good daughter-in-law you've raised? Spoiling and indulging her, now she's so shameless that she can't even get my name right. And she's a college graduate? No manners at all!"
Luckily, it was still the honeymoon period, so Rogan still felt protective of me. He said to his mother, "Jane just forgot, she's already explained and apologized to you. Don't be angry with her anymore."
Later, my father-in-law also came out to persuade her, and my mother-in-law finally relented.
At the end, she couldn't resist adding, "What use is a college graduate? A fallen daughter-in-law is like a fallen pancake, if you don't teach her properly, it'll never get better."
Her every word hinted at a suggestion to Rogan that I should be beaten.
