Chapter 4

ALESSIA

I quickly freshened up and changed into a simple blue flared gown and rushed out. Liam and the maid were totally naked, his cock still buried inside her, their breaths rough as they had reached their climax.

I grabbed my handbag from the nightstand, ignoring them, and reached for the door.

"Who gave you permission to leave, ugly duckling?" Liam snapped, and I shut my eyes in anger.

Ugly duckling?

I had been called beautiful—back in high school, even in university. Liam knew that. But now… he makes me feel like nothing, like trash, no matter what I wear.

My hand tightened around the doorknob. I took a deep breath before slowly turning back to face him.

He was on his feet now, his cock stretching out, still glistening from her release.

“A patient is in critical condition,” I stammered.

“They can die for all I care,” he snapped coldly. “Your duty is to satisfy me, Alessia—and you will do it now.”

A quiet scoff escaped my lips.

The irony was almost laughable.

He’s shameless. A womanizer. Someone who could take his pleasure from anyone—even a maid—yet he stood there, speaking of duty and satisfaction as if I owed him something sacred.

“Liam, don’t talk about my patients like that. You can insult me, but I won’t stand here and let you wish death on them,” I shot back, my voice trembling.

What the heck just happened? Did I just argue with Liam?

That was strange. Is he going to hit me now?

He scoffed, his brow twisting in anger. “I dare you to leave this house, Alessia. You will taste my wrath.”

My chest tightened.

I’ve tasted Liam’s wrath many times… and it’s terrifying.

But if I was meant to die, I would rather face it in his hands than at the mercy of those ruthless monsters.

“I’m sorry, Liam. I can’t,” I blurted out.

Before he could react, I turned and ran out.

“Alessia! Alessia, I won’t spare you!” his voice roared behind me.

But my legs were already moving too fast as I got into the car and drove off.

Shadowmoon Pack to Bloodnight Pack is an hour’s drive. I just have to make it in time.

Finish whatever treatment… and come back home.

It shouldn’t take long, as long as they cooperate. I’ll ask when it started and how much progress has been made so far and prescribe a few medications. That’s all.

My phone buzzed. A message from the number popped up. I reached for it, one hand on the wheel, and read:

"Little bunny, you don't need to go to the pack house. Come to X Hotel instead, room 350. Kade is dying to see you."

Damn it. A hotel? Is this some kind of joke? How am I supposed to treat them in a hotel room? I slammed my hand on the wheel, frustration burning through me.

When I arrived, a hotel staff member approached me.

"Alessia Costa, right?"

I nodded, and she handed me a key card for the room.

I stepped into the lift, my heart beating fast with uneasiness.

I’m a married woman from another pack, walking into a hotel room of three ruthless men in the entire werewolf realm… What would people say?

I scanned the card and pushed the door open.

The place was dim, lit with a soft blue glow. It was empty—but their scents filled the air, clean and intoxicating.

I swallowed hard and closed the door, taking a shaky step forward.

“Welcome, doctor,” Axel’s voice came from behind me.

My breath hitched, and I quickly spun around. He leaned on the wall beside the door; I didn't even notice him.

He stepped forward; he was shirtless, hands tucked into his pockets, his dark brown hair messy, making him look dangerously attractive.

I swallowed hard.

What the hell is wrong with me?

I came here to treat them… not to admire him.

I quickly cleared my throat, my eyes avoiding him completely.

“Where are the others?” I asked, keeping my voice firm and professional.

He chuckled.

"Come," he said, leading the way into the living room.

The room was completely silent.

I stood in the middle of three ruthless, handsome men, their gazes locked on me as they sat on separate single sofas. Asher and Azriel wore black pajamas, while Axel was still shirtless.

My heart was drumming so loudly I could almost hear it. I needed to do something—something that wouldn’t let them sense my fear.

I quickly cleared my throat.

“This is day one of your treatment, and you all need to cooperate.”

They chuckled but nodded mockingly, like I had just said something funny.

Asher suddenly burst into laughter. “Woah, woah, doctor. We’re not students. You don’t need to lecture us—just start the treatment.”

My chest tightened in frustration, but I took a deep breath.

“Alpha Asher—”

“No… no. Just Asher. I prefer that from a cutie like you,” he cut in smoothly.

A groan of irritation escaped me. These men were almost Liam’s age and yet acted like children.

“Hey doctor, are you planning to sleep over tonight? You’re taking your time,” Azriel added. “If I remember correctly, the drive to Shadowmoon Pack takes about an hour or two. What’s the time again?”

“10 PM,” Axel added.

Azriel snapped his fingers in mock agreement. “It’s 10pm. And you said you have a husband… does he know where you are?”

“He must be some kind of weakling in bed. That’s why she isn’t missing him,” Axel added.

“Enough of you all!” I snapped, my voice shaking with suppressed anger. “You promised not to interrupt. Do you think I’m a joke? I drove all the way here to treat you, and you’re making jokes while I’m trying to do my work!” Tears prickled at the corners of my eyes.

They all exhaled.

“No one should dare make a noise. Just let her do her work,” Azriel said calmly.

I took a deep breath. I refused to let them see how weak I was.

I pulled out my jotter from my handbag and settled myself on the ottoman table in their center.

“Since when did this start?”

“Fifteen years ago,” they answered in unison, like it had been rehearsed.

I frowned slightly. Fifteen years ago… strange.

“Have you tried any methods to stimulate your sexual urge?”

They all nodded together. Good. At least they were cooperating now.

“So tell me,” I said, writing on the jotter, “what exactly have you tried?"
