George buckled himself while finding the entrance. Seeing him close to entering me, tears started welling up in me.

I prayed that Daniel was going to stand up for me and tell the truth. After all, my mission was just to help George regain his functions. He had shown that he could have a reaction down there. He also promised Daniel a promotion and a raise.

Yet, Daniel remained silent throughout, merely looking on.

Seeing me move, George had a flicker of surprise in his eyes. Then, he smirked.
