The Story of My 10 Years Love
Chapter 5
I lived in the house my grandmother left behind. After she passed away, the house had been empty.
There were too many traces of my childhood memories with my grandmother here.
At least, there was nothing that made me feel the despair Levi did.
I had just started the car when Levi suddenly chased after me.
He placed his hand on my car window and asked when I would move back.
At that moment, Luna also chased out, but she was chasing Levi.
"Ouch, Levi, I twisted my ankle. It's all your fault for running out so suddenly..."
Levi frowned, then let go and walked towards Luna.
I let out a cold laugh, closed the car window, and drove away.
A few days later, Levi called me, saying his mom was sick and asked me to come see her.
After work that evening, I drove to the Garcia residence.
As soon as I entered, I saw Levi's parents happily playing with my daughter.
My daughter was being held by Luna, who was peeling a jelly to feed her.
Levi sat on the other side, his hand gently stroking her head.
What a warm and loving family they seemed, while I, the biological mother, was like an outsider!
I walked over, snatched the jelly from my daughter's hand, and pulled her into my arms.
"Kids can't eat whole jellies. Don't you have any common sense?" I said.
Luna looked a bit embarrassed and immediately gazed at me with an aggrieved expression.
"Sorry, Miss Moore, I really didn't know..." Luna said, apologetically.
Levi glared at me unhappily and said coldly.
"Enough, it's just a small thing. No need to make a fuss!"
I looked at Levi's mother, Jane, who was happily eating fruit on the sofa.
"Wasn't it said that mom was sick? She looks fine to me," I said.
Luna immediately chimed in.
"Sick? No, Miss Moore, you must have misheard. Auntie is in great health."
Upon hearing what I said, Jane immediately put on an unpleasant expression.
"What do you mean by that? Are you hoping every day that I'll get sick?" she snapped.
