The Social Butterfly Wants to Steal My Boyfriend
Chapter 2
3
I contacted a private detective to help me investigate Lucas and Ella's previous relationship.
I always had a feeling that there was something more to their relationship that I didn't know about.
After Ella moved in, she spent every day just wandering around the house, and her behavior became more and more arrogant. She didn't treat herself as an outsider at all, but rather like the mistress of the house.
At first, she was ordering the maid to do things for her.
But later, she started ordering me directly.
After dinner, I sat in the living room and studied my previous professional knowledge again.
I started picking up my previous knowledge because I planned to return to the workforce.
After I got married to Lucas, he said he didn't want me to be too stressed out and suggested that I take a break and let him take over the company.
I believed his lies and really handed over the management of the company to Lucas.
That company was founded by my father and his friend from scratch, but fortunately, I listened to my father's friend's advice and did not give my shares to Lucas.
Otherwise, I would be in the same situation again.
Lucas was sitting across from me, using a tablet to handle business, while Ella was sitting beside him, hugging him tightly.
They looked like a couple, while I was just a guest.
It would have been fine if things had remained this way, but Ella suddenly said, "Olivia, get me a glass of water."
Lucas and I both stared at her in surprise, not expecting her to be so direct in ordering me around.
When I didn't respond, she repeated, "Didn't you hear me? Get me a glass of water!"
I closed my computer and looked at her coldly, "Who are you ordering around here?"
Being glared at by me, Ella immediately looked weak.
She turned to look at Lucas, and then mustered up the courage again.
Ella said defiantly, "I'm pregnant now, and it's inconvenient for me to move around. Asking you to get me a glass of water is not such a big deal? Lucas, don't you agree?"
I looked at Lucas, waiting for his response.
Lucas said to me, "Olivia, it is inconvenient for Ella to do it now, so just help her out. It's not a big deal."
After hearing Lucas' words, Ella couldn't hide her happiness on her face.
I could only respond with a "ha-ha".
I glanced at Ella, "You shouldn't forget that here who is the boss. I agreed for you to stay at my house, but it doesn't mean I have to serve you.
"I can kick you out anytime I want, as long as I want to."
Hearing my words, Ella bit her lip and looked at Lucas with a pitiful expression.
"Lucas, I'm pregnant and it's inconvenient. I just want Olivia to help me."
The sadness in her tone made it seem like I had done something to her.
Lucas glared at me and said, "Just go help her get a glass of water, okay?"
I coldly looked at him and said, "If I remember correctly, this is my house, and I don't have the obligation to take care of an outsider. If you insist on being generous, you can do it yourself."
I emphasized the word "outsider" on purpose, and Ella's face turned unnatural after hearing it. Lucas also looked embarrassed.
Seeing that I wouldn't back down, Lucas stuck out his neck and said, "I'll do it!"
He then walked over to the dining table and helped Ella get a glass of water.
Ella saw this and quickly got up.
I looked at her and said, "Where are you going?"
Ella said sadly, "I'm afraid Lucas might mess it up, so I'll do it myself."
I mocked her, "He's not disabled. What's so hard about getting a glass of water? And you said you're pregnant, so it's not convenient to get a glass of water?
"You, just sit there nicely. After all, you're a guest, and it's the host's duty for Lucas to entertain you."
Ella understood the implied meaning of my words, and her face turned even more unpleasant.
Her face was contorted with anger.
Come on, let's see who was the boss.
I would show you how I got revenge on you for the rest of my life.

Lucas' mother suddenly came from the countryside.
She said she hadn't seen me and Lucas in a long time and wanted to come and take care of us for a few days.
She also said that Lucas had told her there was a pregnant woman in the house now, so she could help take care of her too.
I didn't believe her.
The last time I was bedridden, she only looked at me once.
When she saw me, she looked down on me and asked Lucas why he left me at home instead of throwing me in the hospital.
I begged her to stay and take care of me, and she coldly said she didn't have time.
Now she was offering to come to our house and take care of us, and Ella who's pregnant?
But soon, I found out why.
My private detective had uncovered everything.
It turned out that Ella and Lucas had known each other for a long time and were from the same hometown.
I suddenly remembered that the idea of sponsoring students was first brought up by Lucas.
And the sponsored student was also chosen by Lucas himself.
At the time, my mother was sick, and I was busy taking care of her, so I didn't think much about it and agreed immediately.
I didn't expect that Lucas had been setting a trap for me so long ago.
Moreover, the private detective found out that Ella didn't have any boyfriend at all.
The baby in Ella's belly was Lucas's.
They had gotten together when Ella was in high school.
When Ella was in high school, her parents passed away in a car accident, and she became homeless and looked for someone to rely on.
Then she met Lucas, who was returning home in a flashy way.
She knew that Lucas was married, and she also knew that Lucas' mother was not satisfied with me.
So she chose to take a roundabout approach, and first got close to Lucas' mother.
Lucas had married into my family, and his mother had always been unhappy about it and me.
Now, suddenly, there was a compliant person who wanted to be with her son, who was not as rich as me but was young and obedient. She immediately agreed.
Lucas' mother actively facilitated their relationship, and helped them keep me in the dark.
They were spending my money, living in my house, and expecting me to support their illegitimate child.
What a clever plan they had!
Lucas' mother arrived very quickly.
She also brought two chickens from the countryside, saying she wanted to give Ella a boost in her health.
She surrounded herself with Ella and Lucas, and anyone who didn't know the situation might have thought that Ella was her real daughter-in-law, and I was the outsider living there.
I coldly watched the three of them enjoying themselves, and my anger grew stronger.
That was just fine with me, as it made it easier for me to take the next step.
