The She-Wolf Bullied in the Human World
Chapter 1
It was the first day of sophomore year as a law student at Calle University. While being a full scholar at such a prestigious institution had its perks, it certainly came with its downsides. From my experience, one of the biggest challenges was being the primary target of the so-called 'mean girls' and bullies.
It was barely seven in the morning when it happened. As I made my way to my first class, a raw egg suddenly dropped from the second floor, landing squarely on my head. I froze for a moment, then looked up to see my bullies laughing down at me, their eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"Good morning, Gaile! Enjoy your… breakfast!" One of them called out mockingly, clearly entertained by the egg now dripping through my hair.
I forced a smile and kept walking, heading straight to the ladies' bathroom. Once inside, I stared at myself in the mirror, the sticky mess coating my hair as I tried to wash it out. As the water ran through my fingers, I took a deep breath, feeling the same old frustration rise within me. I wanted nothing more than for them to stop, but after everything I have done, I knew the truth; there wasn't much I could do.
I had confronted them before, fought back, but it only made things worse. It seemed my reaction only fueled their satisfaction. Reporting them to the administration hadn't helped either. Their families had too much influence, and every complaint I made resulted in nothing more than just warnings, despite the bullying continuing day after day.
Eventually, I grew tired of fighting back. Letting them do whatever they wanted seemed easier than wasting my energy on them. I had bigger concerns—things that actually mattered. Stressing over a few mean girls wasn't worth it.
Being an orphan, I had no one to rely on but myself. I lived alone in a small apartment near the university. So, to afford rent and bills, I worked as a cashier at a local bookstore. And to keep my scholarship, I had to maintain top grades, which meant studying hard, no matter how exhausted I felt.
But there were quiet moments when I wondered if I truly belonged here. Like everything I was doing was just to give my life some sort of purpose… a purpose I wasn't sure if I even needed to fulfill.
I took a deep breath and shook off the thought.
"Don't let those jealous bullies get to you, Gaile. You've got this," I whispered to myself, standing in front of the bathroom mirror.
Suddenly, the sharp clacking of heels echoed behind me. It is growing louder and more aggressive, and before I could even turn, they were there—my bullies, standing right next to me.
"We heard you," One of them sneered, her lips curling into a smirk as her eyebrow arched. "And what makes you think we're jealous of you, Gaile?"
I wanted to tell them they were jealous because I earned my spot at this university through sheer determination and intelligence, while they paid thousands monthly just to be here. I wanted to point out that, unlike them, I didn't need layers of makeup to look beautiful. That if they weren't jealous of me, they wouldn't even bother bullying me in the first place. But of course, I kept those thoughts to myself. Saying any of it would only make things worse. So, I chose to just ignore them and walked toward the exit, hoping to avoid further trouble.
But they weren't done. As I reached the door, someone grabbed the bidet by the sink and drenched me from head to toe. My uniform and bag were soaked through in seconds. Before I could react, another girl pulled my hair, dragging me back inside the bathroom. I stumbled, barely keeping my balance.
And then, they started again… physically harming me this time…
