Chapter 1

I said on a variety show that I had a crush on a man for eight years.

Then the program team asked me to call the man I had a crush on.

I fell into deep thought. I looked at his phone number, which had been saved in my phone for eight years. But I had never called him.

I made up my mind and called him.

When the ringing was about to end, he picked up the call. He said in a deep voice, "Tracy?"

I got nervous for a moment and hung up the phone quickly.

The audience went wild. The voice was very much like the voice of the Oscar Winner, Chris Stuart.

I clicked Twitter and soon was inundated with hashtags: "Tracy and Chris",

"Tracy had a crush on Chris for 8 years",

and "Tracy Mill".

All the netizens were discussing Chris and me.

Netizen 1: [Tracy, you should stay away from Chris!]

Netizen 2: [Tracy just wanted the popularity. She didn't have a crush on Chris at all.]

Netizen 3: [But I really think that voice is Chris. I have been a fan of Chris for five years. I can't be wrong!]

Netizen 4: [It really could be Chris. They were in the same high school. They were both the most good-looking people in the school. They were very famous in our school.]

Netizen 5: [What she said is true. I am their classmate. I have a class photo.]

Chris's and my positions were outlined in the photo.

As soon as the photo came out, it was flooded with comments.

Netizen 6: [Chris was so handsome when he was in high school!]

Netizen 7: [He's so cute. I love Chris so much!]

Netizen 8: [Tracy is so beautiful. They are a perfect match!]

Netizen 9: [No, they didn't match.]

Netizen 10: [Tracy is not worthy of Chris. Tell her to fuck off.]

"Can you tell me the truth? Is he Chris?" My agent, Amanda, asked me.

I stopped looking at the comments.

I said, "It's him. We were high school classmates."

"Why didn't you mention it before?"

"We haven't been in touch since we graduated from high school."

Chris and I never met again after high school. Even though we were both in the entertainment industry, I was just a nobody. But Chris was the Oscar Winner.

Amanda said, "You gained a lot of attention this time. I can get you more resources."

"Amanda, my contract is about to expire. I'm ready to leave the entertainment industry."

Amanda and I met when I graduated from my senior year. She thought I was beautiful. I entered the entertainment industry with my goals.

But I set a three-year goal for myself. If I couldn’t achieve it within three years, I would leave.

It had been almost three years.

"Tracy, you are so talented and suitable for acting. Do you really want to quit?"

"Yes. It's been three years."

"Okay. Then I won't persuade you anymore."

After Amanda left, I opened a drawer on the dressing table. I took out the photo that I had treasured for eight years.

This was the graduation photo. It was the only photo of Chris and I together.

In this photo, he was standing on the left. I was standing on the right. We were very far away from each other.

But I really wanted to be closer to him.

The next morning, I was woken up by Amanda's calls.

"Tracy, Get up. I've got a dating show for you. You need to rush to the production crew right now."

As soon as I answered the call, Amanda shouted.

I was startled. "Amanda, why are you just telling me this now?"

"Hurry up. It's too late!"

On the way there, Amanda told me that the actress in our company didn't have time for the show. Because of what happened yesterday, the director, Patrick Buck, let me participate in the show.

When I hurried to the scene, four guests had already arrived.

There were six guests in the show, three men and three women. They would become three couples and spend five days together in a villa.

"Tracy, you're here. Come and sit down."

The one who called me was the actress, Emma Nicholas. She was the only guest on the show I knew.

I have worked with her on a TV series before. She was the leading actress. I acted as her sister.

Emma introduced me to other guests. Another actress was Jayda Matthew, the rising star. There was a young idol, Eden Marcus the top singer, Tomas Whittier, was on the show too.

After greeting them, I began to observe the surrounding environment. There was a large screen in the center of the hall. It could play live images and real-time comments.

This dating variety show was broadcast live. Guests could interact with the audience. The audience could vote for their favorite couple. The couple with the most votes would receive a mysterious prize after the show ended.
