The Revenge of the Alpha’s Daughter
Chapter 1
The night was unsettlingly quiet, as if the world itself was holding its breath. I stood by my window, staring out at the dark woods surrounding the pack’s territory. The sight that once brought me comfort now only deepened the dread in my chest.
Whispers had started weeks ago, creeping through the pack like a shadow. At first, I dismissed them as idle gossip. But soon, they grew louder, more insistent, until they were impossible to ignore. They spoke of betrayal, a scandal threatening to tear the pack apart. And at the center of it all was me.
The accusations came from Sabrina, my father, Alpha Josiah’s girlfriend. Sabrina had always seen me as a threat, and now, she had found the perfect weapon: a lie that poisoned everything it touched.
She accused me of being the mistress of Beta Lynox, the pack's second-in-command. Lynox was engaged to another wolf, a union that was a source of pride for the pack. But now, that engagement was in ruins, and Sabrina pointed the finger at me.
The truth was far different. I had never been involved with Lynox. But Lynox, driven by obsession, supported Sabrina’s story. He confessed his love for me, lying that we had been secretly seeing each other. His deceit swayed many in the pack, including Alpha Josiah.
The confrontation with my father was brutal. His anger was like wildfire, scorching everything in its path. He called me a disgrace, a stain on our honor. His words hit me like a physical blow, leaving me reeling.
But as days passed, his fury dimmed, replaced by sadness. I was the spitting image of my mother, the former Luna, who had passed away when I was a child. Memories of his lost love softened his heart. In a rare moment of vulnerability, he told me that to protect both me and the pack, I would be sent to Europe to study, to escape the scandal and prepare for my future role.
For me, it was a bitter pill to swallow. I wasn’t just leaving; I was being exiled. But I accepted my father’s decision, knowing it was the only way to escape the nightmare that had engulfed my life.
Years passed, and I transformed into a powerful, confident woman. The pain of the past made me stronger. But just as I believed I had left that part of my life behind, a message arrived from my father.
"Felicity, I need you. It’s time to come home."
I stared at the message, my heart pounding. The years had done little to dull the memories, but now, I was different. Stronger. Ready.
"It's time to go home."
