Chapter 3

A female wolf was staring at us, her face looked scary and her eyes was wet with tears.

Then we discovered that it was Lisa, Kaira, and James moving closer to her, and they discovered her clothes were drenched with dirt. Maybe she had fallen.

"I am so sorry Kaira, I mistakenly fell inside a river when I went to the bush to get some leaves for you and then... " She felt weak and she fell on my hands.

Kaira was so dejected likewise James.

"Ok, no prob, Lisa, I am so sorry for all that I have caused you. James came to my aid, and the pain has gone already," she responded, feeling sorry for what she did.

,

"No prob, Kaira, I am going to take her ho ,me by myself, and I believe she is going to be ok; I discovered she has a lot of words to say; maybe when I pester her, she 'l l talk more" he expressed himself.

Lisa was breathing heavily because she was exhausted, and all her clothes were dirty.

"Maybe she was attacked by some rogue," my wolf Ziva spoke, and I felt bitter due to what I caused her, but I decided to let go of the feeling.

James Carry Lisa on his back and they head home straight.

"What happened to you? " Who did this to you, my beautiful girl? " My mom asked me; she moved closer to embracing me.

Kaira's face looked so pale, and her forehead was still plastered; the blood had dried.

"You are looking so pale; please answer me," River was panicking; her hands were shaking due to the state she saw her daughter.

"Mum, some of my classmates who were boys mistakenly threw the ball at me, and it hit my head, but I was not that hurt," she responded, and her face was gloomy.

"Oh, please come and have your seat." She gave her a beautiful couch.

Kaira sat down and was breathing heavily; she didn't want to tell her mum what happened to her friend, so she decided to talk because they were gist partners.

"I can see that you're forehead was well plastered, so who administers all these on you? " Luna River asked her daughter, putting her hands on the bandage and checking it very well.

" Mum, James did it for me, and I am so happy; you know he is my friend, and he supports me a lot," she responded calmly, her face still pale.

Different kinds of thoughts ran through her Brain thinking maybe she should tell her mom what happened.

"How is my father?" She asked, looking worried. Luna River Left her, and she sat down on the couch.

"He has gone to train some young omega; they requested for him, and he took them to the training ground," she murmured those words to her.

She crossed her legs and started smiling.

"What are you going to eat?" I can see that you are famished and you look so stressed already" she asked feeling concerned.

" Thanks, mum, I don't feel like eating anything because I am full already; you gave me some amount of money; I used it to get some snacks and soft drinks in the school buttery," she replied, and her mouth curled into a smile.

Kaira is a young lady who is always contented with what she has, even though some of her friends do bring a lot of fo,od she is not bother,ed and she doesn't envy them.

River stood up, she was not comfortable with what her daughter said.

"I want to get you some noodles or spaghetti. You can't just come from the school, and you are telling me you are not eating anything; it is not possible." She clenched her fist and clasped her hands in annoyance.

Kaira smiles because she knows her mother will not take it lightly with her if she doesn't eat anything.

"Ok, Mom, your wish is my command," she responded quietly, and her face lit up.

"Why are you hindering your mom from cooking for you when you know that you are just pretending? " her wolf spoke, smiling at her.

She just ignored the words and she kept massaging the bandage.

Then her mom came out with a tray filled with spaghetti sauce and a juice drink.

Being the only daughter of Rivers, she is ready to do anything for her, eventhough Alpha Gareth detests her a lot she is not bothered being a strong Luna.

She placed it on the dining table, expecting her to come and eat.

Kaira raises up one of her fingers, trying to tell her mom she is coming.

"Ok, Mom, I am coming. Just give me a few minutes to rest more because my bones are weak, and I feel exhausted," she sounded, feeling tired, forcing a smile.

"No, I don't want to hear any words from your mouth; please come over here and eat before the food gets cold; you detest cold food a lot," she barked at her.

" Ok, I have heard you, Mom; I am coming right now if that is what you want," she responded sharply.

Kaira sat down comfortably on the designed dining chair.

She took the fork and started scooping the spaghetti into her mouth and she was rushing it.

River discovered that she was famished through the way she was eating.

She was just observing her, she placed her two hands on the dining.

"You can't tell me to join you in eating?" She interrogated her jokingly.

Kaira dropped her head down. She was feeling shy, and then she kept laughing so hard she didn't know when one of the strands of spaghetti pulled out from the fork, and the fork fell on the table.

River discovered she was the one that caused her laughter so she decided to keep quiet.

"So you can't maintain table manners, you this girl, you are now a grown-up wolf; I know that you are going to be a strong beta in this tackle pack; get ready to undergo a lot of training," she exposed those words to her.

Kaira stopped eating, and she kept mute; her mouth was wide open, expressing shock because of what she was hearing from her mother.

"Mum, I don't want to go to war between our enemies pack like Dad; I don't want to undergo any training," she responded, shaking her head in disbelief.

River hmmm and she was quiet for a short while pondering on those words she just said.

"I am the Luna of this pack, which means I am the second in command, so I can make enough decisions for you, so you can't tell me not what to do," she spoke, her brow furrowed, and her face was full with rage.

Kaira expressed a gloomy sigh; she had heard a lot about warriors who were killed during the strong war, and she was afraid of getting killed.

"Mum, I just don't want to go to the war just like Dad. You know he hates me, and he doesn't like me at all; if there is a war and I follow him, he will get rid of me immediately," she responded, eating her food.

She poured the soft drinks inside the glass cup; the color was so creamy and nice.

Kaira was wowed because the juice color was so nice.

She sips the juice and warms spread through her soothing comfort. The juice aroma fills the air, and she is so happy because it tastes sweet and velvety.

"Mum, thank you for the juice; it tastes nice," she responded with a controlled smile.

"Thank the moon goddess, my love; I was blessed the day I gave birth to you; concerning the discussion we heard a few minutes ago, I want to remind you to start preparing for training," she announced, staring intensely with a pierced gaze.

"Yes, she is going for the training, even though we don't know where she evolved from," a strong and sharp voice echoes towards us.

She stood up where I was sitting, scrutinizing the place where the sound was coming from.
