The One Who Loves More Always Cries First

When my close friend Oliver Baker called me in distress late at night, I chose to ignore my boyfriend's furious protests and rushed to a local bar to rescue him. After spending the night caring for a heavily intoxicated Oliver, I woke up the following afternoon and tried to call my partner. My ignored rings went unanswered. Upon returning home expecting a typical argument, I was met with complete silence and a deserted apartment. I had no idea that my midnight rescue mission was the absolute breaking point for our relationship.

Chapter 1

I received a call from my good friend Oliver Baker in the middle of the night and insisted on going out despite my boyfriend's anger.

I arrived at the entrance of the bar and picked up the heavily drunk Oliver, and took care of him at home for the night.

The next afternoon, when I woke up and called my boyfriend to pick me up, the phone rang for a long time and he didn't answer.

When I angrily returned home, it was already empty.

I didn't know that this was the last straw.

——

"Theo Kelly, get out of my way. Oliver is waiting for me at the bar. He is so young. If I go late, what if he feels uncomfortable and no one takes care of him?" I said to my boyfriend.

Theo looked angry and pointed at my nose, saying, "Irvin Hannah, are you crazy? It's already one o'clock in the middle of the night, and you want to go to the bar to pick up a man you just met a few days ago?"

Facing Theo's furious outburst, I was already used to it. He has always been like this, being narrow-minded.

I disdainfully said, "You're happily sleeping at home, but Oliver might be lying on the ground without anyone taking care of him. You have no sympathy at all. He is my good friend, you are so petty."

"Why should I sympathize with a stranger? Irvin, today you must give me an explanation, otherwise..."

I didn't even finish listening to Theo's words before pushing him away and rushing out of the door.

I had no psychological burden about this, anyway he will forgive me.

Theo stood in the room, neither closing the door nor sitting down, just staring at me with no expression on his face.

In a daze, I seemed to hear something breaking.

But at this moment, my mind was full of the handsome college student Oliver, where can I care about anything else?

Until the elevator arrived, I frowned and glanced at Theo, then quickly rushed into the elevator.

When I went downstairs, I inexplicably looked at the window of our house and found that the lights were already off.

I just thought that Theo was angry, he doesn't understand me at all, and still tries to control my social life.

I didn't have time to think about it, and Oliver called again to urge me.
