When I woke up in the morning, I suddenly found that Emily was sleeping soundly beside my bed. The morning sun shone on her peaceful sleeping face and the picture was beautiful.

I gently woke her up.

"You're awake, Jeremy. When I came back last night, I found that you had a fever. I fed you medicine. Are you feeling better now?"

The concern in her eyes was real and I nodded gently.

"That's good." She finally smiled.

But suddenly Emily's phone rang at an inopportune time, interrupting me abruptly. She put her finger to her mouth to signal me to be quiet and I clearly saw that the caller ID was Louis.

"Louis... watching a movie? Okay! Wait for me for a while, I can go out after I put on my makeup!"

I listened expressionlessly and saw Emily's smile brighten up.

Emily hung up the phone and looked at me with her smile gone.

"Louis asked me to go to the movies and I have nothing to do today. You take your medicine and have a good rest. Ask for leave from the company today."
