Chapter 2

The man's voice was melodious, especially when he growled under his breath to talk to himself.

"Baby, I can't see…

"Give it to me, baby, please…"

Was he really that enthusiastic? Even from behind a screen, where he couldn't really make out anything clearly?

To be honest, I found it so silly that it was almost adorable, not to mention that his pent-up grunts unwittingly drew me along to his rhythm.

Soon, I could hear his gasp of satisfaction from my earphones—the most perfect of endings.

Seeing my own sleeping gown soaked in sweat, I was going to wash it when my phone chimed, signaling I had received a text.

It was an unfamiliar number, and I had been receiving texts from unfamiliar people for days now, all of which came from my stalker without exception.

He must have been switching from one disposable number to the next, all in the middle of the night.

But he was early today, as it was obvious he couldn't hold it in.

Slightly interested, I unlocked my phone to read his harassing texts.

[Your hands are so fair, baby.]

[I love you so much, baby. I really want to do it with you.]

[Did you have your eyes on another man? Why else did you get so excited?]

Just as I thought, only a stalker would send such things.

Sadly for him, that was child's play for me.

I wanted to laugh, but I knew he was quietly watching from the hidden camera.

Instead, I made myself look afraid, scrambling out of bed to look out the open window before answering his texts with trembling fingers.

[Who are you?! Why are you doing this?! Stop stalking me or I'll call the cops!]

[Baby, let me touch you, alright?]

[Get away from me, pervert!]

Perhaps my outburst turned him on, for he never got upset and kept texting me repeatedly, each text more sleazy than the next, each showing how lustful and yearning he was.

I almost wanted to drop my disguise from the sheer depravity, but I bore with it, curling up and trembling in fear.

Then, I heard his demonic voice chuckling in my earphones.

"Oh, are you scared, cutie? Are you really crying?

"Perfect. I'd like to push her down right now…

"Next time, I'll be hiding beneath her bed… I'll also drug her and sleep with her."

So disgusting.

But when was that going to be? I was looking forward to it.

What should I do to break his restraint, so that he would make his move?

As he planned to intrude again, I planned my next trap.

What I didn't expect was for him to go missing the next day.

There was no sign of him on my way to the office or on the subway, and even the abandoned hut where he used to hide was empty.

I didn't see him for three days, and my black thighs went untouched.

I became anxious—did something happen to him?

Such a perfect prey whom I had waited for so long, and it was gone before I had yet to relish the thrill of the catch.

This wouldn't do…

Fortunately, he showed up again on the fourth day, but this time, he stood before me in broad daylight.

He wasn't wearing his cap or face mask, and his sunken, pale cheeks belonged to Zac Lopez, my superior.

He was crouched beside a flower patio in the apartment compound, his attractive hands holding a stray cat beaten half to death.

As I passed by, he promptly put up a look of delight. "Sonia Carter! I didn't know you lived here. Can you do me a favor? This little creature is hurt, and I can't walk well. Can you help take it to the vet?"
