Chapter 3

The next day was the weekend. Early in the morning, I heard a knock on the door. It was Flora.

"Sibyl! Did I disturb you and Charles? Charles hasn't gotten up yet, has he? What lazy he is!"

Flora said this but she showed her pride expression on her face.

Before I could say anything, she ran into the bedroom.

Soon, she grabbed Charles, who was only wearing underwear, and walked out with a smile.

"Charles, you're such a lazy man. The sun is shining on your butt."

I threw the blanket to Charles with a cold expression.

"Cover it up. You're not embarrassed. But I'm embarrassed."

He took the blanket with a cold expression and sat down on the sofa unhappily.

Flora sat down next to Charles on the sofa.

This was the first time I had met Flora since we came back from the spring outing. Her face was bright and clean.

There was no trace of injury on her face.

Seeing that I was looking at her, Flora seemed to realize something and smiled awkwardly.

"Sibyl... Charles didn't mean to abandon you that day. It's all my fault..."

"But I'm really afraid that there will be a scar on my face. Fortunately, it was treated in time. I'm fine now. Well... I'm sorry, are your injuries all right?"

Flora said with her innocent gaze. She spoke carefully and guiltily.

But I could clearly see the pride and provocation in her gaze.

She was proud that Charles had abandoned me for her sake.

I ignored Flora's insincerity, but Charles felt sorry for her.

"It's okay, Flora. I've already explained it to Sibyl. She said she didn't blame you."

I smiled calmly.

"Did I said that? Why don't I remember? It seems that I must have fallen to the ground and become stupid."

After saying that, we fell silent, and the atmosphere became a little awkward.

It could be seen that Charles had been holding back. His chest heaved up and down, but in the end, he couldn't hold it in.

"Siybl, what do you mean? It's all in the past. Do you have to ask Flora to apologize to you?"

Flora pursed her lips and pretended to be extremely aggrieved.

"I'm sorry, Sibyl. I was too selfish. Don't blame Charles..."

Looking at their performance, I suddenly felt nauseous.

"There's bad luck in this house. You two stay here. I'll go out."

I put on my coat, turned around, and went out. I wandered outside for two hours before I went back.

I thought that even if this shameless couple wanted to show off their love, two hours was enough and they should have left.

Unexpectedly, when I pushed the door open and went in, the two of them were shamelessly playing on the sofa.

"Oh, Charles, you're so naughty. Don't always pull my hair. It's not like I was a child!"

I frowned and saw cold food on the table.

When they saw me, they restrained themselves a little.

"Sibyl, you're back. You must be hungry. There are some food we bought just. You can eat it."

She spoke naturally and enthusiastically, as if she were the hostess of this house.

"I'm not hungry. I even feel like throwing up. Also, I hate the people who did not clean up after eating."

Charles was a neat freak. In the past, he hated it the most when I didn't clean up after eating.

Because we've argued about it many times, but I didn't expect that he could endure Flora.

I repeated what Charles had said to me. He must have heard it.

"I'm sorry, Sibyl. I'll clean up right away."

Flora sounded as if she had wronged me, making me look like a villain.

Charles couldn't stand it anymore.

"That's enough, Sibyl. If you don't want us to stay at home, just say it. You don't have to be so sarcastic here."

He could target me, but I could not repeat his words to Flora.

"Let's go, Flora. Let's go to your home and let her calm down."

I quietly watched the them walk out hand in hand.

After seeing them off at the door, I spoke calmly.

"Take care. Goodbye."

Flora seemed to have thought of something. She suddenly stopped and looked at me.

"By the way, Sibyl, I really like your necklace. Can you lend it to me for a few more days? Charles also said that it suits me very well."

I was stunned and smiled to her.

"If you like it, I'll give it to you."

Yes, I gave it to you. Not only this necklace, but also the man beside you.

I'm tired. I didn't care him anymore.
