Chapter 3

I went back to my office.

After a while, there was a knock on my door. Without waiting for my consent, Will pushed the door open and walked in. Perhaps he didn't want others to hear our conversation, so he closed the door.

Will walked to me and I didn't speak.

"Fiona has just returned and needs to enrich her resume. She has participated in many competitions abroad and won many awards. Some foreign projects are of great reference value to us. Fiona is a smart person."

When talking about Fiona, Will might not notice that his eyes would light up. The subconscious approval and admiration in his eyes made me very sad.

I raised my head and asked, "I know Fiona is very good, but Will, don't you have any selfish motives?"

"Hermine." Hearing what I said, Will became impatient. "Didn't you say that our company will not let go of any outstanding employees?"

"Will, do you love me?"

This was the second time I asked this question since yesterday.

Will was a little dazed, with complex emotions in his eyes. He put his arm around my shoulders and said, "Hermine, I will only marry you."

I took a deep breath.

He said he would only marry me.

But he refused to say he loved me.

Will, no one would wait for you all the time.

I was the one who had been following up on the project that Fiona asked about this morning, but Will transferred it to Fiona, which made me disappointed.

I got this project after drinking a lot of spirits.

"Hermine, come with me tonight to meet the client." When I was instructing the intern, Fiona stood proudly in front of me and said in a firm tone.

I frowned subconsciously.

Did Fiona think she was the company’s vice president?

When I was about to refuse, Fiona said, "Will asked you to go with me.

"We just go there to sign a contract. Why are you hesitant? Come to Modyic Club at 8 o'clock tonight." After speaking, Fiona left.

The intern swallowed his saliva. He was also involved in this project. If it was just to sign a contract, he could go there, so he said, "How about I go with her?"

"No need. She steals my order. I'd like to see if she can get it."

When it was almost eight o'clock, my cell phone kept ringing. Seeing the caller ID, I turned the phone off. The man next to me saw it out of the corner of his eye, and he chuckled. "Is it some national event?"

I frowned and glanced at the man. In the dim vision, I could only vaguely see his outline. He was wearing a high-end suit and leather shoes, and there was a faint woody scent on his body.

When the performance ended, we bumped into each other at the door again, and this time I saw the man's face.

He was from my opponent company.

"Mr. Colvin." I crossed my arms and looked at him.

I had a deep hostility towards Fred Colvin. After all, he had snatched a lot of my orders, and he was a cunning man.

Fred was helpless. "Ms. Quinn, business is business. You don't have to be so hostile to me."

"Mr. Colvin, you are overthinking it."

"How about I send you?"

I looked at the taxi app and saw that I hadn't got a taxi.

"Okay. You snatched so many orders from me. You should make up for me."
