The Dawn of Freedom: When I Decide to Leave You Chapter 1
Just because I refused to cook a meal for his friend Dora Wilson,
Ben Smith forcibly interrupted my mother's treatment.
I knelt in the snow all night with a high fever.
That night the hospital issued a critical illness notice. I called Ben over and over again, but he blocked me.
Two days later, my mother died from the pain because she didn't get timely treatment.
Dora posted a photo of the two of them on her Moments with the caption: [If you can be with me for the rest of my life, I'm willing to wait for you.]
After the funeral, I calmly told Ben to broke up.
He didn't believe that I didn't love him anymore.
"Ben, let's break up!"
I could forgive him for humiliating, torturing and even leaving me behind again and again for Dora.
But I couldn't forgive him for forcibly interrupting my mother's treatment for Dora, regardless of my mom's life.
He knew clearly that my mother's disease was in the late stage and she would die if she was not treated in time, but he still did it,
just because I refused to cook a meal for Dora.
How ridiculous.
My mom's life was not even as important as Dora's happiness.
After my mother's funeral, I went back home and took away my things.
But when I returned to the house I rented, I realized that I had forgotten to take the painting my mother gave me.
She painted it and gave it to me for my 18th birthday. I hung it in Ben's study.
So I went back to the villa again.
I had thought Ben was not there, but as soon as I opened the door, I saw Ben and Dora on the sofa.
Both of them looked exhausted, with several suitcases beside them.
Ben saw me and smiled sarcastically. "I had thought you weren't coming back.
"It just so happens that Dora will be here for a few days. Go and clean up the guest room."
I didn't know why every time Dora came here, Ben always asked me to entertain her.
Before I could refuse,
Dora smiled at me apologetically and held Ben tightly with both hands like his mate. "Cathy White, I'm so sorry. Ben and I just came back from France and are too tired. Sorry to bother you these days."
It turned out that they were in France when my mom died.
A week before, Dora asked me to cook for her.
That day I had a high fever and took care of my mother in the hospital for a whole day. I couldn't get up, so I refused her.
Dora pouted suddenly and looked unhappy.
I didn't know what she said to Ben afterwards.
When I woke up, I received a notice from the hospital that ben had ordered the doctor to interrupt my mother's treatment.
The hospital was run by Ben's family. It had the most advanced medical equipment and the best experts in the world. Only he could save my mother.
I was devastated and called him again and again, but he never answered.
Two days later, my mother's condition worsened and she died in pain because she didn't get timely treatment.
Just when I was in the most pain and needed him the most, he took Dora to France and ignored me.
I tried to fight back tears.
"Ben, we broke up!
"From now on, you have nothing to do with me, and don't bother me about her affairs anymore!"
