Chapter 4

Although I had not done the bone marrow compatibility test, the three of them truly believed that I was the one who could save Summer.

That was because the fortune teller had once said that Summer would live a long and happy life.

Half a month later, Summer was completely bedridden. My parents were exhausted from taking care of her.

They were trying to look for me the entire time. They started to worry when I still had not shown up after such a long time.

"Do you think something could've happened to her?"

"How could that be? She must've gone into hiding because she found out I was sick and that I needed her bone marrow," Summer speculated.

Our parents still believed her.

In the end, Summer suggested, "I'm going on a livestream. People deserve to know what Sienna is really like."

They agreed immediately, almost eagerly.

That night, Summer went live. The livestream title was pure clickbait, engineered to go viral across the internet.

[I'm dying, and my twin sister ran away instead of donating her bone marrow. #ShouldIStillBeAliveIfMySisterWon'tSaveMe?]

Within minutes, thousands of people poured in, hungry for tragedy.

Summer even put on makeup to look pale and sickly.

With trembling lips and a soft, feeble voice, she pleaded, "Please… If you see this, help me find my sister. I just want a chance to live…"

The chat went feral with sympathy. Most of the people cursed me, calling me heartless, selfish, a monster.

Then, the internet did what it always does.

They started deep-diving into my life, expecting scandals and abuse, any proof that I was the villain Summer painted me to be.

However, what they found made them go quiet. That was because every scrap of information they dug up showed a completely different picture.

They found me running from one part-time job to another, working late shifts and dragging myself across town just to make ends meet.

Forget bullying Summer. I barely had any time to eat.

[Is Summer Larson mistaken? The Sienna Larson that I know is a kind and gentle soul. She isn't that sort of person.]

[Yes. Summer said that Sienna used to bully her in school. I don't think so. I remembered that Sienna had to earn every penny to survive during school. Once, I overheard her on her phone questioning her parents, but her parents said that she didn't deserve to have pocket money and that she needed to earn it herself.]

Summer did not expect the netizens to be so savvy at research. She had tried to make me go viral as the villain, but not everyone believed her.

Some even started standing up for me, which made it hard for Summer.

Summer retorted, "If Sienna doesn't know that I need her bone marrow, why did she go into hiding? She clearly doesn't want to save me.

"Even if all these years, her pocket money isn't as much as mine, but so what? Is that a reason for her not to save me?

"Our parents didn't give her pocket money because she's always been a selfish person since she was young. She steals and takes other people's things. Our parents were just disciplining her."

Summer could have been a politician with her ability to twist facts.

Instantly, the internet was divided into two camps. The group that sided with Summer immediately formed a 'search' team.

[We must find out where Sienna is to save Summer.]

The team that supported me said otherwise.

[Even if they're sisters, whether or not she save Summer is her personal choice.]

Soon, that became the talk of the town. Summer and I were cast right in the spotlight.

At that point, someone wrote a comment.

[Did you say you're Sienna Larson's younger twin sister? You said that she's been missing for more than half a month?]

Summer typed a response.

[Yes.]

The person instantly sent a reply.

[That's odd. Sienna's a colleague of mine. She's always been at work. She was only hospitalized for the past two days, saying she has leukemia. Why does it sound like your current situation?]

Summer instantly paled when she saw the reply. She wanted to delete it, but it was too late.
