Chapter 2

I stared blankly as Lindsey disappeared from view. Instead of leaving, I waited outside River View.

But soon, William called.

My heart sank - Lindsey must have snitched.

"Will," I answered.

William immediately exploded, “What's wrong with you, Troy! Are you trying to get yourself fired? You want women? Find them somewhere else! Don't mess with our business, or you'll regret it!"

I tensed up and replied softly, "I wouldn't dare, Will. I swear it’s not like that”

“It better not be!”

He hung up abruptly.

Staring at my silent phone, my eyes flickered with anger as resentment toward Lindsey grew.

Not only had she been cold to me years ago, now she was reporting me!

Worst of all, she was trying to drag my sister into some threesome!

Yes, it had to be her fault!

My sister would never do such things - Lindsey must have manipulated her!

Perhaps to comfort myself, I blamed everything on Lindsey.

She'd mentioned Friday, which gave me two days to figure out if my sister had really been drawn into this.

If she had...

I slammed the steering wheel, my face cold with anger.

If she was really planning to service some man with Lindsey on Friday, I had to stop her!

I took one last look at River View before driving away.

The next day, I visited my sister.

"Troy, what a surprise!” she asked, opening the door.

"Just thought I'd stop by with some groceries. Maybe cook us dinner?" I smiled, holding up grocery bags.

She laughed, "You mean you want me to cook for you! Hand them over."

She took the bags and headed to the kitchen.

I watched her silently.

"Make yourself comfortable on the couch," she called from the kitchen.

I acknowledged her but walked to the kitchen doorway instead.

"Sis, have you heard from Lindsey lately?" I asked casually.

She hesitated, then turned with a knowing look. "Still hung up on her?"

I forced a laugh. "Nah, just saw her at a hotel the other day. Wondered what she's up to these days."

Her expression shifted slightly. "Oh, you know... she does freelance work. Travels a lot."

I caught her change in expression and clenched my fist.

She knew what Lindsey was doing!

Did that mean she was also...

Taking a deep breath, I forced a smile. "Sis, let's visit Mom and Dad this Friday?"

I had to stop her from going down this path!

Her eyes flickered. "This Friday? Lindsey and I have plans. How about next week?"

"I'm busy next week! Come on, Sis. Tell Lindsey you can't make it. Your little brother wants to show some tlc - you won't say no, right?"

I pouted dramatically.

She laughed, "You little..."

After thinking for a moment, she nodded. "Alright, I'll let Lindsey know."

She wiped her hands and went to the balcony to make the call.

Though I couldn't hear the conversation, her secretive behavior confirmed my suspicions about Friday's plans.

When she returned, she said, "Done. I told Lindsey I can't make it Friday. We'll visit Mom and Dad instead."

"Good," I nodded.

She returned to cooking.

After dinner, I left River View.

Despite her promise, I wasn't relieved.

I couldn't watch her constantly - should I confront her?

I shook my head instinctively. The shame would kill her.

"Darn it!"

I cursed in frustration as I drove away.

Friday came, and I went to pick her up.

But when I called her to come down, her answer made my pupils constrict.

"Troy, something urgent came up. Go home without me." Her voice was rushed, and I heard rapid footsteps.

Was she running?

"Sis, but we agreed today-"

She hung up before I could finish.

I stood outside River View, my face dark with anger.

Milda Hotel!

After three seconds of shock, I rushed to my car and drove there.

Room 502 - that's what Lindsey had said, right?

I took the elevator, frantically pressing the button for the fifth floor.

When it arrived, I rushed to room 502. Just as I was about to break in, I noticed the door was slightly ajar.

Through the gap, I saw Lindsey on her knees in front of a man. Behind him stood a woman with a messy bun and oversized cardigan, her rose-gold highlighted hair falling loose around her face. She wore sheer black tights, looking somehow both innocent and tempting.

When I saw her face, my blood ran cold.

It was my sister...
