The Counterattack of a Supporting Actress

Waking up inside a novel as the ill-fated supporting character Lisa Wagner, I find myself instantly targeted by the male lead, Conrad Mallin. He is determined to make me pay for a minor mishap involving his beloved heroine, June Norris. Instead of fighting back normally, I throw myself at Conrad's feet, crying hysterically and apologizing for merely being bumped into. My dramatic, over-the-top submission leaves both Conrad and June utterly speechless, forcing him to back away in pure awkwardness.

Chapter 1

One day, I suddenly became Lisa Wagner, the supporting female character in a novel, and Conrad Mallin, the male lead, was giving me a hard time for June Norris, the love of his life and also the female lead.

I knelt, desperately clinging to Conrad's leg and crying loudly.

"Please! I didn't mean to be bumped by her. I didn't know I had to apologize for being bumped into. I'm sorry. Please don't be angry.

"Please don't give me a hard time because of this. It's all my fault."

June and Conrad were stunned, and the latter awkwardly pulled his leg out.

He acted so fast.

I made up my mind, and I kept bumping my head against the floor.

The marble floor was cracked by me, and I ended up with a concussion and had to be admitted to the hospital.

I entered a novel with cheesy plots and became the female supporting character, who was also the female lead's substitute.

In the novel, I took care of Conrad and attended to his every need. But after June came back, I was dumped. In the end, I got cancer and was tortured to death because of it.

The host signed a three-year contract as a substitute with Conrad, yet June returned to the country early, and Conrad broke the contract ahead of time.

The host accidentally offended June, so Conrad refused to pay the final payment, which resulted in the host not having money to treat the illness and being tortured to death.

After the host died, Conrad realized that the person who saved him was the host and began to regret it, officially starting the heart-wrenching love story.

It was well known that cheesy novels like this always had a plot. The male lead always used someone's death to show his deep affection.

As long as he repented, he could offset all the harm imposed on others.

She only lost her life, but what he lost was love!

This kind of cheap love was always criticized.

And my task was to win over Conrad before the host died.

The male lead couldn't survive without love. I was so confused. Why did I have to win over him?

Currently, the plot has just reached its climax. Conrad was holding a welcome party for June's return to the country. June was picked on by the supporting female lead and accidentally bumped into a waitress' tray, and that unlucky waitress happened to be the host who was working part-time here.

In order to make June happy, Conrad took her side without knowing the facts and forced the host to kneel and apologize.

And the System told me that my mission was to make Conrad fall in love with the host and rewrite the novel.

Conrad invited influential figures in the circle, and the rumors about my relationship with him had long been widely spread.

Now that June and I showed up at the same time, many were waiting to enjoy a great show.

When Conrad saw me, his eyes were full of surprise and then turned into disgust.

"How did you know I was here? You followed me?"

He was the male lead indeed. He was so narcissistic.

I rolled my eyes."You are quite narcissistic!"

Conrad frowned, not expecting that I would talk back. After all, the host was always humble when facing him. Before he snapped, June in his arms spoke softly.

"Since Conrad knows you, I'll let it pass and forget that you've pushed me."

"No way. Today, she either apologizes or compensates with money."

"Why should you let it pass?"

I and Conrad spoke at the same time.

Why should she let it pass?

If so, it's the same as confirming that the host pushed her.

Conrad looked at me distantly and coldly and coaxed June softly.

"Don't worry about making a scene. I don't know her. She must apologize today."

I glanced at June, who hugged Conrad and looked at me provocatively, without any intention of proving for me.

What should I do?

My hands were itchy!

I really wanted to beat this couple.

The System interrupted me just as I was about to raise my hand.

"Host, I advise you not to do that. The male lead likes gentle and obedient women. Your task is to make the male lead fall in love with you!"

My head throbbed as I heard the System's nonsense.

What a stupid System! It brought me to a different world to complete a stupid task.

I sneered inwardly.

Gentle and obedient?

Alright!

I am the most obedient.

Without any hesitation, I took a step forward.

With a thud, I knelt down and desperately clung to the hem of June's dress, crying and wailing loudly.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Norris, it's all my fault!"

It was broad daylight. A girl knelt down with tears streaming down her face, apologizing. The noisy commotion quickly caught the attention of several paparazzi who were blocked at the entrance in order to capture the leading actor's photos.

They all held cameras and pointed them towards me.
