The Billionaire's Ex-wife Chapter 1

NAYA'S POV

“Hi, I'm here to see my husband, Ivan. I heard he is in this hotel, could you please tell me his room number?” I said politely to the hotel receptionist who looked Me up and down, obviously annoyed at my approach.

I didn't care about her contempt, I was more concerned about the information I asked about Ivan Anderson, my husband.

“He's not here, and please, I would really appreciate you don't disturb me further.” She replied to me airily, and then I caught her name from her name tag.

“Lily, please. I know he's here in this hotel; I told you I'm his wife, and I wish to see him.” I pleaded but she ignored me and typed away on her computer instead.

Then, I resolved to show her the fruit basket I brought for Ivan to plead with him to come home. He hasn't been home for days and I wanted him back to me.

“Here, look. I brought him some fruits, he likes to take them by this time.” I said with a small smile on my face as she glared at me for a moment.

“Wait a minute; you mean to tell me that my very own Mr. Ivan Anderson loves to take fruits at night? Huh? You know what annoys me even more?” Lily continued to shoot daggers at me.

“It's the fact that a low life like you keeps parading to be his wife, how shameless can you get?” Lily hissed at me but what mattered to me was Ivan. I wanted to see Ivan.

“I'm not lying to you, I'm telling the truth. How else can I prove to you that I am Ivan Anderson’s wife?” I was starting to lose my cool but I tried to hold it in.

This counts as the twentieth time in five days that I'm always hanging in the lobby without being allowed to see Ivan.

“You dare spew his name like that? And in front of me?” She raised her voice a bit at me as I noticed a couple of stares at our director. My husband.

“I told you already, I…” I was interrupted by Ivan Anderson’s entry into the building.

I spun around to confirm his entry.

For everyone else, he is the most successful and the most powerful man in the state. With his several bodyguards and his intimidating look, he is the Director of ANDERSON ENTERPRISES and soon-to-be CEO of his father's company.

“So cool..” I heard myself say as he approached my direction.

But as for me, Ivan Anderson is the most handsome and the sexiest man on earth. And I love him, despite being married off to him, an arrangement made by our both parents.

“Mr Anderson.” Lily blushed at the sight of him and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at her.

That's what Ivan does, he makes heads turn and cores wet. Including mine.

“What's going on here?” He asked Lily without looking at me.

“I wanted to see you, I brought you some fruits,” I said as I presented it for him to see.

That was when he noticed my presence. I thought I'd get a smile of appreciation but he shot me a glare instead.

“What are you doing here? I thought I told you that I don't want to see you?” Ivan spoke rudely at me and I saw from the corner of my eyes that Lily was clearly amused by his response to me.

But I wasn't ready to drown in embarrassment, so I tried to play along and tried to cover up the shame that threatened to sink me.

“Don't be like that, Ivan. I know you like to take fruit, that's why I brought some for you. Besides, I haven't been allowed to see you for days and I miss you.” I whispered the last part as he glared at me even more.

“You weren't allowed to see me because I gave a specific instruction not to let you in, so go home and stop making a fool of yourself!” He seethed and made to walk away from me.

“But I'm your wife!” I countered. Then he stopped in his tracks and spun on his heels to look at me. He looked obviously disgusted but it didn't mean anything to me because I ignored it, all of it.

I watched Ivan close the distance between us as he leaned in to whisper to my ears.

“Have you seen yourself? You obviously don't deserve to be called an Anderson, and maybe we're married in the eyes of our both parents but not in mine…” He paused. “So I'd advise you save yourself the embarrassment and leave me the fuck alone!” He breathed out as I shivered from his breath on my skin.

He looked at me and a satisfied smirk etched at the corner of his lips.

He walked away from me and I trembled under the scrutinizing gaze of the disgusted faces that surrounded us.

“Ivan…” I mumbled under my breath, in a way to plead with him to not put me down like this.

“Or…” He stopped again in his tracks as he turned to face me yet again. He glanced at Lilly who looked like she would rather kiss his ass and feet in appreciation for looking her way.

“You can let her in after 30 minutes.” He said to Lily as I bit my lip hard, intending to draw blood.

“Noted, Mr Anderson.” She responded as she smiled at me with satisfaction evident on her face.

Ivan didn't walk away without glaring daggers at me. I just stood there with the fruit basket, a recipient of crazy rumors, and disgusted expressions.

All I could think of was not necessarily the sea of embarrassment that I drowned in, but the time that slowed and kept me away from my husband.

“You lying bitch!” Lily brought me out of my thoughts as I stared at her and refrained from reacting.

“I'd appreciate it if you moved away; I don't want you to infect me with your disgusting stench!” She hissed at me and I just obeyed her and moved away from her work environment to a corner in the lobby as I waited for the time to tick by.

I stared at the clock, and immediately it passed 30 minutes; I quickly walked back to Lily.

“It's time,” I said impatiently.

She typed away on her computer before she lazily looked at me. “Room 1014, take the elevator to the top floor.” She said simply as I wasted no time to leave her presence and head for the elevator.

It chimed and opened with a soft whoosh as I entered and punched the top floor.

When I got to the top floor, my eyes scanned the rooms for the exact number I was searching for.

When I saw it, I clutched the fruit basket in hand and knocked but I heard no response. Then I decided to push the door open to a sight I instantly begged the stars to unsee.

“Yes! Yes! Yes, Ivan… harder! Faster!” A petite bimbo moaned under Ivan's naked body.

I only recollected myself when I saw the fruits roll on the floor out of the basket.

“Ivan…” I heard myself say.
